Good Morning, from California USA>.. have to share with you... I play videos to sleep all night long... last night I was watching a video of yours.. and you were still playing this morning.... which it usually turns off at some point.... well. honey pops into the room and says .... " Who were you watching?" I look at him, still sleeping slightly, and confused say... IDK what was it? he says IDK either, but what a great voice! Now, I have to say, he NEVER COMMENTS on anything like this, so feel blessed Rachel! that is a high compliment for sure.... :)
Such a fun project with beautiful results! Great video, Rach! So fun to be a part of this wonderful collaboration Joie organized! Great job, my friend!! ❤️❤️
This project is going to be so much fun to play with. I am so glad we are "friends" and that you show us so many fun things to do. Thanks. Have a happy day.
These turned out so nice! It is you--your style--LOVE them! I would not have thought to do the different things so creative. Glad you enjoyed doing the project...fun..fun..fun.
Ohhh Rachel… What a fun video!!! It’s so fabulous to see how each challenge member has taken the same idea and produced such different pieces. I really love what you’ve made!!! I also love that you completed the challenge using a regular sewing machine foot as it opens up possibilities and ideas for those who don’t have a free motion foot. It was really fun to see how you took them all to the next level by drawing on different rafting resources and your incredible imagination!!! It was lots of fun to hear your excitement as you watched them come to life through your own creativity!!! TFS!!! Big hugs, Sharon 🌷💕
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Its 12:45 in the morning and I'm laughing and having fun with you. You did so well without the special foot. Great tags. TFS.
A great Fast Flow Stitching project. The use of fabric and paper in the ‘leaves’ add a great dimension to the tags. You have such creativity. Thanks for sharing your project.
Love your projects for fast flow stitching, so inspired, I made two tags along with you and was enjoying it so much that I did not realize that for half of my tag my bobbin had run out and I was just making holes 🤣
I absolutely love these you and Louisa are in first place as far as I'm concerned although I know it's not a contest. How amazing you did without the other foot. It just tickles me the way you just race around and come out with beautiful Leaf shapes
I have a Pfaff also and you can use the darning food that comes with it. Works great for free motion. Give it a try. This looks so fun and will give it a try soon.
I really enjoyed your take on this collaboration. It is so much fun to see each indivals style and interpretation on this prompt. Isew like this quite often but not on purpose. TFS well worth the watch Hugs and Smiles
Love these tags Rach! They are so you but bumped up a notch. It's good to get nervous, because it means that you care about what you are doing, it's important to you. 😊
I am going to give this a go for sure but I dont think I will get the beautiful results you did...You just make this look so easy! Thank you so much Rachel xxx
Wow! These are great! For some reason it’s so relaxing to watch you stitch! I love how you made flower shapes while stitching! And so beautiful how you decorated them! Very inspiring! 🥰
Hi Rachel. What a fabulous, sewing collaboration. I love what you created, especially those leaves...who needs a special foot when your a Roxy girl. I brought that special foot awhile back, but still havent had a chance to play with it. Your video has inspired me to get it out, dust it off and go for a spin. Thanks hun. xx
You did not disappoint. Your idea was awesome and so different. I have been Flow stitching this week and having all kinds of ideas. It has been so fun to see what everyone has come up with.
they really turned out well Rachel; my fav was the last one on the pile with the 3 leaves. Everyone's work is so different and they're all fabulous....
Love this video. You power through a headache, but I am glad you found a stopping place and then continued. Your journal cards are always amazing, Rachel. "I do like that!!"😄
What a nice collaboration. ....l find it interesting that you found it out of the ordinary for you...when you have master this craft (paper/textile) blending. I have been sewing without that free/motion element for the pass 28 year's, and l only drop the dog feed's when l use thick paper/textile...as with all these elements after time we master it all. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful craft.
Ann, where do you live? I have an older Kenmore that works like a champ for sewing on paper and fabric and I just decided it needs to move. I have two other machines😑
Good morning 🌞 from Washington state/ USA. Those are so pretty. I enjoyed watching you create. I watch videos at night when I'm winding down. I'm making quilts for my two daughters for Christmas, so I really busy trying to get them finished. Blessings to you and your family. Thanks for participating and sharing.
What a unique approach to the challenge. These are absolutely lovely. Sadly, even if I had the sewing skills to master one, I seriously doubt that I have the patience . Thanks for sharing yours.
These are adorable, and I think, although very much your style, are a little bit different. How exciting!! I'm going to have a go at some like this!!👍💜🌿
Love this idea! When I didn’t have a machine with a foot for free-motion stitching, I would tape piece of card stock over the feed dogs (so you can stitch in any direction) and just take the presser foot off. Just remember to lower the presser foot lever. You might try that? It’s a lot of fun!
When I first started quilting, I also quilted with a machine where I couldn't drop the feed dogs for free motion stitching. Covering the feed dogs worked well enough. ROXY, you may also see if your machine allows you to adjust the presser foot pressure. Most machines have it for sewing on heavier/ thicker fabrics. If you can lessen the foot pressure that would also make 'free motion' stitching easier on your machine. Hope this helps so you can experience even more freedom while free stitching your tags.
Hello Rachel! Love how these turned out, you are very good at sewing leaves. Fabulous job and thanks for sharing your process I enjoyed watching. Take care!
Hi Rachel. This is such a fun and inspiring challenge. I have really enjoyed watching all of the videos. I've had a go to on my cover for a swap journal that I'm doing. Great fun. Thank you. Xx
I was just doing this today... I call it “funky stitching.” I often think of my sister in-law who is an award winning quilter - no funky stitches, Rachel, it is fun!,
Can't wait to see what beautiful creation you're going to come up with Rachel... and as you're starting with book pages I know it's going to be great!! Thanks so much for participating in this collab. And I don't have a free motion sewing machine either 😁😁👍💜

Nicely done Rachel!
