Fiat produces the successor to the old Fiat 500 based on the Fiat Panda. So it is not a successor, but a Fiat Panda with a body that resembles the old Fiat 500. But it is a car with a front engine and front wheel drive. So not a worthy successor. The real successor to the old Fiat 500 is the Smart 450 and 451, built under the leadership of Mercedes. These small cars have a rear engine and are even 27.5cm shorter. The driving characteristics are comparable to those of the old Fiat 500. Only much safer, more comfortable and more durable. So if you are looking for an old Fiat 500 for everyday use, you should test drive the Smart For Two 450 and 451.
