I think Gw2 wants to say that after certain amount of slots, extra slots are to be considered a luxury. It‘s great to have a lot of space, but you’ll have to pay for it if you want more of it. I suppose it’s one way for Anet to make money through Bag Slots - and they’re giving us an alternative option to use gold to craft spaces instead of spending real monay.
For new players: Just run through Living Season 1 and complete it and you get I think 20 slot bags from each of the main hero :) Which is what I just learnt while playing through it as my Daredevil 😀 Grerat video mate.
Important items on the gem store are on sale 2-3 times a year. Patience will save you hundreds, to thousands of gold. I waited for Slot Expansions to go on sale by 30% at 280 gems per slot.
I only ever maxed them out on my main character over a long time buying bag slots when they were on sale, but i'm never making any 32-slot bags for all my other alts as that'd be way too costly, plus I only ever have to worry about bag space if i'm grinding open world metas, which I only do on my main. i always tell new players to instead just get all 20-slots, including a few filter bags if they want, and just slowly buy shared bag slots instead.

If you have all the mats to craft, sell the mats, make the gold, but the extra bag slot and you save money. Doesn't matter if you have all mats that makes the cost 0 in current gold, because those mats will be worth 234-250 gold anyway. The price doesn't change because you got the mats lol.

That's not the point. You want the slots on a certain character not a new one. And if you gonna pay 800 gems to get that free 20slot bag, you better pay 400 for extra bag slot and but a fractal 20slot one or craft one with 10 gold. Lol
I don't see it that way. Making the 32gold is the worst value for money option and you don't HAVE to do it. You can always get the 24, or 28 slots. They double in price or something for every 4 slots, and having multiple 32slot bags really isn't all that necessary IMO.

I never crafted then and I have 10 bag slots on my main and it has a few 32-24 slots bags that I'm sure I got from events or they gave me for some reason lol. Like the one from newsletter. You can get a few bag slots from achievements either in bjora matches or lws1. So I don't really see the reason to craft them and pay 10-11g for that. When you can get cheap from fractals or maybe wvw? I got one that only slots exotic gear and that's so good when you're doing raid trains because all the exotic stuff goes there. So as you said I rather just buy the slots instead of crafting anything.

The point of this video isn't meant to be "bag slots are always better than getting a 32-slot bag", but "bag slots are cheaper than getting a 32-slot bag even though you wouldn't expect that to be the case". They are not a SCAM. I always saw them as a bonus, optional way for people who already reached extra bag slot cap. Added late to the game. And since target crafter/buyer is so rich, they made those bags such pricey. Because they were never ment to exist in a first place. Ability to move between chars is a nice bonus too 👌
did anyone check the rates for gold-gem exchange? you could actually earn more gold if you buy gems then buy gold back, 250 gold for 1040 gems, for 500 gold you get 2080 gems, which buys you back 707 gold. I didn't know it can be like that... for 1 gold, 5 gems, so 2k gems for only 400 gold, wtf and buying 400 gem to gold is best rate. After few exchanges you can have enough gems to max out bag slots and enough gold to buy 32 slot bags on TP.
I'm not sure, what exactly you try to do, but Arenanet keeps 15% of every transaction I believe (similar to the trading post), at least they do keep a big chunk of gems or gold in a transaction in either direction - so I don't think that works
The 32 slots craftable bags are for players who already have all the bag slots and just want the best in slot option. Marking them as scam is like marking legendary items as scam for their price.

Decided to play my bank and brought another bank. $10 for a character is best deal IMHO. Sux that you buy a game and then need to buy characters but no monthly fee means a lot of alts or banks. Worst kind if player is an elitist. Rather go into pvp and get Tbagged.

Alternatively, I believe buying a character slot and using them for storage is also more cost-efficient than 32-slot bags, though I haven’t checked the exact math on that.
Not really a scam, you get exactly what you pay for. Is it cheap? No. It’s a luxury item. To be honest if you are the type of play that is comparing bag slots to 32 slot bags then your are not ready for 33 slot bags. Like most things in guild wars it is an end game luxury item for you to work on. For example I’ve play to the point that all my main characters have max bag slots and am now working on larger bags.
Stop being dumb. You will only need to get the 32slot bag if you can't buy any more extra slots, and if you get to that point, why would you even need a 32 bag slot. Doesn't matter how rich you are. You will only pay to craft them if you don't mind throwing away gold after you get bored. Other than that you're just wasting good and not being efficient.

I just have 20 bag slots, rare bag, exotic bag and one 20 slot invisible bag. I got 9 bags in total. I was contemplating those 32 slots bags but... what for ? I'm sitting at 204 inventory space and don't feel the limit is annoying me at all. Just need to clean from time to time. If you needed bags for bank space, that would be another story however.
@@IRedpunk Yep, it really depends how many items you tend to carry on you and how long you tend to go before cleaning out your inventory. Generally, the only people who *really* need 32-slots are those who run metas for hours on end without any break for inventory management. It all depends on your playstyle if they’re worth it or not.
Depending how old you are in the game you get many with extra slots over 20. Either from events, etc. or you get from completing achievements, like bjora matches eventually gives you a 24slot bag. The newsletter gives you another 24 if I'm not wrong and they give you more from other stuff. I have a few 32 slots not sure where they came from

I think once you've got everything and has nothing else to spend your gold on, they can be a good investment in all alts.

True I recently bought bag slots at the cost of 300gem. Cheaper than in this video.

cheapest bag slot-buying a new Character slot for 800 gems gives 4 bag slots and a 20 slot bag for the price of just 2 extra bag slots....
