I've never seen a full biography of the life of John Newton before, and I found this utterly engrossing and as memorable an adventure story as 'Treasure Island ' , 'Kidnapped' and 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. I loved seeing the Lord's hand on Newton's life, just as I love seeing it in the lives of every person who becomes an inheritor of eternal life and of the riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Thank you for presenting this great family film here.🇦🇺

I almost Missed this excellent story bc the volume is too low. I had to strain to hear it ! ! ! ! It was worth it (but still, u should check volume b4 you post!)) Really, it it is a little too loud ppl can turn it down, but to quiet, nothing can be done.
The classical music volume is high , and it's really disturbing in the part that the priest started telling the story to the boy🙄 anyway I've continued watching
28:11 - "This is a slave ship," the new captain tells Newton, who'd been captured and forced to work where he didn't want, and re-captured when he tried to run away, then flogged for it and given worse work. Seems Newton was a slave, himself.
By reading the comments I'm sure this is a good movie but the starting of it I'm not able to hold attention to it. I'll give it a few more minutes and if I'm not into it I'm going to skip this.
