david beckham couple of years before his retirement and yet no sweat on scoring goals. azkals, still on it's maturing stage but I could say one of the best team in south east asia. Keep up the good work and I believe sooner or later Phil team will be able to match japan and south korea's level then world cup eventually.

its because philippines has gotten interested in soccer only just now. thats why our national team is striving so hard to develop that new enthusiasm. we will get there.
agree.. here in davao phil. we have a place here in the davao croc. park grounds. we have 20 football fields. filled every day with players. before the azkals have arrived, nobody was playing the sport here. now its by the hundreds. proof that it is growing. :)

chill bruh. the phil. team are just starting. and look now. they are past indonesia and malaysia who have been playing football for a long time. they'v managed to be 3rd placer on the recently held AFC challenge cup. they almost went through the finals, but barely missed it. this azkals team has just started playing football.. because the sport played in the phil is basketball. im amazed at how they are playing ryt now. see them improve in the coming years. stop the hate bruh haha

I'm from the Philippines and I live in Canada, I also play soccer and I can't really judge the Azkals cuz even we play against a rookie team it's really hard to score goals so how much more if we verse a professional team.
i just compared azkals which is pure pinoy and just starting to play football, to GALAXY which have mixed players brits etc. and have bin around for quite awhile now.

I think the Philippines should train players who will be committed to the team. Coz it's really frustrating to see this newbies fight against pro while the best players of azkals keeps on leaving.

If this friendly proves anything, it's that the LA Galaxy is at the same level as 3rd division German clubs. The Azkals also lost by the same margin when they were playing tune-up matches in Germany. Sorry Galaxy, but that's the truth
Should have been a best of 3 series. Azkals were obviously starstruck and still warming up to this international level of competition. Now if they walked away from this with a second chance to play them again, I think they would have made the adjustments, played more aggressive and maybe even put up a bit of a challenge. Moral was definitely low and the defense even lower. The Galaxy weren't exactly playing fantastic futbol, Azkals were just playing like, eh, loose dogs on a field. Next time.
