This interview takes place in the house that Russell rents in the Hollywood Hills. Moz' house (used to be his house) was just down the road, you could see the roof and driveway from the patio at Russell's house. Pretty cool looking in there at night, innit?
kind of hard to hear what is being said, but, I could SEE their genuine interaction, so that was quite nice. Mozzer is so far removed from his younger days.. He seems much more chill, more in-touch with himself. Good on him.
I agree - people always bang on about how taciturn and awkward he is but if interviewers just talk to him in an interested an engaged way, rather than expecting chit-chat, as on the One Show, then he comes across as the down-to-earth and intelligent man he is.
No matter how much I try to dismiss Morrissey as someone of my past and no matter how I try to label him as someone I used to be into, he keeps creeping up on me like the plague. There is no one in music who has ever {or will ever} make such an honest statement in his writing. The only person that I can compare Morrissey to in a non-musical terms is Howard Stern. My two heroes who are the only two heroes in this awful celebrity age who tell the truth. All honesty, no bullshit. Paneeks/Boston
Best interview I've seen so far with Mozza. Brand is at least engaging with Morrisey and asking some intelligent human questions. Morrisey reciprocates in kind and begins to loosen-up. Both guys would get into heaven if I was god 4 sure!
this is probs the first time russell's interviewed someone - look how he actually listens to what they're saying and not turn it back to himself all the time.
it was a two track tape with 'Picadilly Palare' on one side and (sorry) i dont remember the other side, BUT Picadilly Palare was and still is a unique and beautiful track that i will not ever forget.
Being 55 years old, I, of course, heard of Morrisey and The Smiths. But until yesterday I’d never heard him speak nor heard any of his music. Iron Maiden is more my style. I started digging deeper upon hearing of his political views. The dude seems super deep, intelligent and principled.
People are always having a pop at Morrissey, why? All he ever does is tell the truth. In terms of his vegetarianism, I guess people dislike him because, instead of looking themselves in the mirror and knowing they are wrong for supporting the murder of animals by eating meat, they would rather just insult someone who is strong enough to stop eating meat. The only reason people eat meat is because it is convenient and tastes nice, that is it. Any other reason given is just some pathetic excuse that people use to try comfort themselves whilst eating animals.
Morrissey, characteristically righteous, intercut with risible imagery. The pictures are bad enough, without throwing them up multiple times. I really like Years of Refusal, but this video - and Morrissey - do their best to put me off.
both incredibly talented and beautiful men, I love love love Russell!! Morrissey is attractive because of how aloof he is, also he looks like a beefcake here! : )
Morrissey's latest album (Years Of Refusal) is a good delivery - sure. It has a "Your Arsenal" feeling to it; definitely although many of the tracks sound pretty much the same throughout the album, I personally prefer : "Black Cloud", All You Need Is Me; When Last I spoke To Carol; That's How People Grow Up; I'm Ok by My Self, and some other track around that same line...
russ never kept low key in private affiars after this and see how he looks so frustrated now when hes interviewd, listen to morrisey and keep it low key, good advice from mozz, Gouranga!
yea I know it's on deluxe but I already have YOR and I'm just a poor student and oh well I thought if it was here somewhere.. It probably would be worth all the money though :D I
@bdmoore12 It's how you used to get high-quality video before they put the menu in the bottom right corner. That and being a bit of a nerd when it comes to things like that.
it dont mean i dont love russ, coz i fookin do - but this has gotta be the first time he done a proper interview. all the others are still funny as fuck. like some of the leicester sq. stuff
Wow, who cut this video, panning over the same few terrible pictures over and over in between tiny segments, with songs starting over multiple times while they talk?
I wish Russell Brand was more like this rather than like the idiot he is most of the time. I mean grant it sometimes he's funny...but he can be really annoying too. I like the serious Russell.
yeah brand is in awe of him,just like iam in awe of brand(may i add iam a hetrosexual man)i t6hink russel is gonna go very far,maybee in 20 years time,if he dont go back to his old ways,he could be the greatest ever brit
I love that man. He never sold out.
There are moments where I feel that warm compassionate energy from Russell. Morrissey as well. Never believe what you read in the tabs.
What a great interview, It's good to see Morrisey's actually seeming to WANT to be in an interview. Well, Russel's Brilliant, thats why.
I love the way Morrissey calls being young "Early." So cute.
This charming man Morrissey is ! Graceful, good-hearted, true... you can't help loving him !
❤️
But he is a bellend isn't he
Who is ?
Amelia Wilson I respect them both for sure but Morrisey is a bit a self righteous tit at times. I guess it's made him so good at what he does though.
russell looks in love!
"Somebody has to be me. It can't be you". Golden
I sooooo respect Morrissey, he is great!!
these two are so cute together, like father and adoring son....
Morrissey makes a very good point about animal cruelty. He is bang on - a passionate, deeply principled individual.
I love this because the genuine affection from both camps is palpable.

I hate how this interview is cut up and songs randomly inserted. Just let them speak. The interview from 2006 with Brand is the best.
its because the whole interview is painful to watch. Kind of passive aggressive throughout
1:52 Am I the only one who finds this deeply upsetting? The pain he describes and expresses is heart wrenching.
kind of hard to hear what is being said, but, I could SEE their genuine interaction, so that was quite nice. Mozzer is so far removed from his younger days.. He seems much more chill, more in-touch with himself. Good on him.
Looking good Moz.
wow i ts the first interview i've seen ol' Russ do without refering back to himself, now that is true love!
they're a dream interview team, them two

Morrissey is Brand's favorite artist if I'm not mistaken, I'm sure he was delighted to interview him.

Thanks so much for the sneaky sound tip!
They are friends, so I would imagine that Russel know a thing or two about what Morrissey is like...
this is probs the first time russell's interviewed someone - look how he actually listens to what they're saying and not turn it back to himself all the time.

His sense of humour is brilliant! Northern humour!

Morrissey 50 Keep up making us happy with your work... we love you Anne & Berin and the first and the last and all the rest of the gang...
I wish we saw more of Russell, he is sooo talented.
Now he has his own channel hope this comment finds you well

Geez! I need subtitles for this.
"Years Of Tormentor" is my album for 2009
too much sexiness for one video
They are in the house that Russell has been living in whenever he is in L.A.
Russell Brand is awsome, So is Morrisey.
Breazeale666 is obviously a fucking remedial.
good interview! one i think mozzer actually enjoyed

Not a huge fan of Morrisey but his voice sooths me.

Russell Brand named his cat after him.
Yes, it is.

yea I know it's on deluxe but I already have YOR and I'm just a poor student and oh well I thought if it was here somewhere..
It probably would be worth all the money though :D
I
@jpjames1 i think that's because he really did mature and become self-confident after all, despite what he thought about himself during his hay day
Yes i used to live there for about 30 years, born and bred!!!! What's that you're getting at?
Thanks I already found it. Funny stuff.
Thanks for this! Is there any more?
You can turn this off by clicking the [annotations off] option.
Nice!
wow someone that morrissey actually likes i guess russell brings that out in people
@UnyieldingDefiance Except for the fact that Morrissey requested that Russell interview him. Just sayin'.
@MrRammsteinJim thank you brother :)
OH GOD that is so true finally somebody that gets the struggle for great music lol
oh the hair!
@bdmoore12 It's how you used to get high-quality video before they put the menu in the bottom right corner. That and being a bit of a nerd when it comes to things like that.
@woobia I'm glad I'm not the only one.
it dont mean i dont love russ, coz i fookin do - but this has gotta be the first time he done a proper interview. all the others are still funny as fuck. like some of the leicester sq. stuff
I don't hear anything! It's mute! And it's not got anything to do with my computer either as I double checked volume, loudspeakers etc.
I've seen Russell's place several times with him in it on youtube. Does he play the piano?
Couldn't access audio..? Tried the add from above....
super quality ... sure.
Does anyone have the whole interview? I'd love to see it!
The tufted -Wilton and the vacuum..
Is this not the full interview? I can't seem to find a longer version...
whats the name of that song in the beginning?
@Cablemanguy It seems to have stopped working for some reason
There is no audio!
@INNATEHUMAN which tape was it
Wow, who cut this video, panning over the same few terrible pictures over and over in between tiny segments, with songs starting over multiple times while they talk?
What happened to the sound?
The backround music is entirely too high.
Whats with the audio?
Anybody knows whose nice home is this?
Did anyone else watch this solely for Russell Brand?
@19189073 maybe they're both different times
who wouldn't ?
no, type in part 1 morrissey or and russell
@MrKarpote what?
Morrissey*
@MrRammsteinJim thank mate iou one

@jpjames1
Hmm..... Interesting words. Maybe it's right. U right.
@stephjuhler999 same here
Yeah, I already knew he was green and soon he'll be really green!
Morrisey is a talented songwriter singer ,Russel is ,or was once amusing standup comedian ,now he preaches verbal diarrhea .
um so what was that all about?
i fucking hate annotations, leame em at the door son
I wish Russell Brand was more like this rather than like the idiot he is most of the time. I mean grant it sometimes he's funny...but he can be really annoying too. I like the serious Russell.
You got your wish - check out his TH-cam channel now. Totally different guy

Oh, tell me about it! People are so easily offended when it comes to JB, it's not like the make good music for god sake.
@misfitsg17 I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
nice upload, pop-up extremely annoying though, bad position.
