This interviewer is completely lovely. She’s so earnest and thoughtful. In contrast to the enormity of Moz’s ego, though I undeniably love his singing.
@@asukas666 How is he racist?? Because some newspaper misquoted what he said?? Also, his comments against the Chinese were basically PRO animal rights and back in the 90's he was merely defending freedom of speech. He wasn't actually agreeing with the far right. Believe what you will, Morrissey is and will always be a great and original artist, in a world of mediocrity.
The man is obviously intelligent, thoughtful and a witty conversationalist. More so than many in his profession. Such manners, even with nervous and sometimes star-struck young interviewers. More the "charming man" than the "clever swine".
The lyrics mean that if you don't open yourself up to anyone then there will be no way for anyone to get inside your heart. You will feel empty. But when you meet someone and surprisingly connect, they get in and maybe they break your heart and "kill you" (feels like dying). But you will live, it just sucks and feels painful. He writes this experience with such economy and it really hits home for me - that's why it's brilliant!
Probably his weakest album , only 2 stand out tracks , but he remains more interesting than other rock/pop stars. His previous album “You are the quarry” was his strongest but he’s made some good stuff since. Generally his LPs haven’t been as strong as The Smiths albums. But he’s still worth a listen & always will be.
People make way too much of Morrissey...the Smith's were great but Morrissey a an artist doesn't come even close to Bowie. And the claim that he's a lyrical genius always befuddles me ..yes he had moments of genius especially with the Smith's..but the Majority of his lyrics are just boring and repetitive themes..
He has the most soothing speaking voice.
Such an intelligent Man. Very inspiring.
You handsome devil. Xxx
everyone's favourite lounge lizard, the man's got staying power that's for sure
Nice man. Poor soul is troubled with chronic depression 😢

Edith Bowman? Naaaah
beauty personified xxxx
She sounds so nervous! Who wouldn't be?
I love this interview.
Morrissey!
More relevant today than ever.
Why, is there some special need for islamphobia and racism?
@ROBERT DEAN twat
@@asukas666 yes

So bloody handsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very good interview I thought Edith asked some interesting questions and morrisey answered them..
Still awesome.
Oh Morrissey!
'Most people don't get hanky panky'...welcome friends.
I Love!
The only thing I disagree with is the phrase "Real Music". I think music is music is sounds and you like the sound you like. I like all sounds.
There is nobody more beautiful.
I miss Edith. Love Moz
I did not know Daisy from Downton Abby hosted a chat show.
Ese pedacito en español 🥹
when was this interview ??
no tthe best live set...
@anchorlove06 He said he's been in Italy for almost a year. That pretty much explains it all, doesn't it?
he seems quite relaxed here :)
Funny how everything in the UK is so lovely yet know one wants to live there :(
Too many people packed into a small country getting on each others nerves
8:49 gets a bit awkward...
skipped evasively and enigmatically past another presenter again, this lady less awed than most
Some of us American fans are intellectual and unlike people in LA. So many of us in San Diego grew up listening to the smiths
In awe?
MORRISSEY IS GOD
I entered nothing and nothing entered me .... You have killed me , you have killed me ... How are these great lyrics ??
Zidane ZiZu
Well actually they are

Swoon ........
@DctrNugget Edith Bowman
@anchorlove06 Morrissey can do whatever the fuck he wants. Still would.
Morrissey looks lovely sat like that, all relaxed with his left leg stretched out. MMMMMM he's got lovely long legs.

Morrissey still great, but I really miss the Marr touch in his songs.
It's been 30 fuckin years. Move on.
30 fuckin years and still nothing has touched there music have you ever done anything that’ll be spoke about in 30 years
Morrissey is spectacular but his bands without Marr sound just like any other band, imho
this chick is out of her mind....comparing morris to lennon is like comparing a dog to a cat....
Yeah but both of them still are amazing animals, so what's your point?!
Like apples and oranges
Only half as good as the smiths, there’s something missing... it’s Johnny marr..
Ew, that little gold chain around his neck. Morrissey, no.
carolineroyce maybe came from the Italian men's fashion inspiration while he was in Italy 🇮🇹

Lyrics // Morrissey > Bowie
Singing // Morrissey > Bowie
Music // Morrissey > Bowie
Wit // Morrissey > Bowie
Image // Morrissey > Bowie
He's obsessed with glam rock and has grabbed any artist to work on his albums ( as for loving Italy, well his lover was Italian)
@Brian Sharp of course they're *competing* - it's a 'market'
A philosophy ideal for a disgruntled 14 year old. Not much good for anyone else
"they find that they can't leave their beds without psychiatric advice" hahahahaha. Man, that IS America. What a hopeless mess.
