    This car is THE definition of a muscle car. Just perfect.

    One of my dream cars for sure, and the auto wouldn’t bother me a bit. 👍🏼

    I remember the big A833 Chrysler 4-speeds. They may have been really strong but you had to man-handle them. Not the easiest shifting transmission, at least not in my experience from decades ago. In the hands of many drivers I'll wager the automatic cars were faster.

    The 'Cuda truly is the most original and successful muscle car design of the era; bold and muscular, efficient and elegant, compact yet strong, perfectly proportioned and exuding an unrivaled natural beauty; and here the colour specification shows the outstanding taste and imagination of its original owner. Would't it be great if Chrysler could produce a new second generation of equally High Impact.

    Can't go wrong with a HEMI 'cuda... even if it is an automatic.... and it's yellow.... it's still a freaking HEMI 'cuda!
    BTW, it always bugs me when Kevin says "drive line" when referring to the drive TRAIN. (The drive LINE is the drive shaft, or propeller shaft, drive TRAIN refers to -powerplant-gearbox-final drive/axle)

    The Brothers need someone to look after these cars. I live in Southern Illinois in Murphysboro. Selflessly, I would be willing to spend my time tending to them... well, at least I tried.

    WOW, I love seeing and hearing bone stock muscle cars like this. When your test driver dropped the hammer that was quite impressive. The sounds of that big V-8 howling was incredible.

    Mopars automatic transmission s are why im famous in my neighbor hood that an thanks to BM s streer n strip shift improver kit only it worked best when left in drive an didnt use the slapstick to change gears some how i messed up hydraulic pressure by doing it manually....but all my friend's came by one by one after my very intelligent friend installed the shift kit in my 1972 an test drive it an he an i were stunned at hard the thing shifted....the only car i drive in stick trim that match the shifting of BMs kit an my 904 was the new 1984 vette which i was told has it 700R patent stolen from the 727 design because they renewed it while dodge was sleeping so my grandfather mr mopar tells me from reading moror trend from the day it was published he had all the mags....he even at 65 years old told me about mazdas rx7

    Now that time has passed since i drove these cars i realize how well an thoughtfully they were actually built....like the courtesy lights that when u open your door an it was locked the handle would activate a perfect green glow key hole an key hole on the steering column some thing i miss the most today all my E s had over a 1000000 and they were still perfect working order thinking back no wonder they are most collectable....now thanks kevin line lock is on its way it better than the internet trust me i know what im doing.....ur job will be so much easier hah hah hah

    Unfortunately, not all of the original build specs are on the fender tag, only the main ones. To see exactly how your Mopar was optioned out from factory you really need the broadcast sheet.

    • @MuscleCarOfTheWeek
      @MuscleCarOfTheWeek  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      True. These also have the broadcast sheet with all the details, often hard to come by. This car still has the sheets.

    Yes Kevin but not when da cops is around bro i had a beautiful 72 barracuda dress up package 318 two barrel banana yellow or canary not sure had the fake 340 stripe that was actually nicer then the 340 stripe it was too straight on the belt line but man i got so many tickets i like to go fast first problem 25 years later everyone s telling me pull me over yellow...im in the guiness for most speeding tickets in 4 or 6 months ? As a probationary driver in Jersey u are allowed 3 points in the first two year i got that in the first couple minutes....while my 72 backa ruuda was parked......it mainly because i was going 20 mile s an hour faster than everybody else well they was acting like they wanted to race an i wasnt doing nothing an i wasnt gonna get beat....come on im not stupid

      The car in Vanishing Point was a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, not a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. But they are almost the same car. I think the Challenger was actually 2 inches longer than the Cuda though

    Yeah three pedals are best but when your engine does all the talking, it's going to get you up to speed quickly whether you're shifting or the car is. Some of the fastest cars in the world have automatics...
