Especially because For the past decade or two I've always had Green Day's basket case stuck in my head. Now that I've heard a lullaby version as background music to everything Elliott has to say. This scene is perfect, I don't think it will ever be typed for the rest of the show (I am watching for the first time, I'm midway through season two) I probably shouldn't be leaving comments for the fear of getting spoilers lol
This scene gets to me because I always daydream about a perfect life where I and my group of friends are all happy but then I snap back to reality and it’s completely broken…
It’s so astonishing to see how a complicated and depressed guy like Eliot has very simple and bright dreams that he wish would come true. It makes wanna hug him so bad.
one of the best scenes in the entire series, hands down. it’s heartbreaking to see this vision of his future when you know how things actually went for Elliot in the show.
I cried so hard during this scene. Because I was happy for Elliot if he could have all he dreamed of but knowing the harsh reality just made me cry harder.
It was such a dumb ending honestly, it triggers me a lot. These characters deserved much better than what they had last season, specially Angela, Tyrell and Elliot. The "original elliot" appeared out of thin air basically and the whole "Vigilante Elliot wanted to make a better life for the original"is so dumb when " the original" literally ends up waking up to a destroyed life in all aspects, with friends and the love of his life dead, having a dead career, and still being an extremely social anxious person
@@Kroban_d4c The entire Elliot ending made NO SENSE AT ALL! We had a character for four seasons and we all of a sudden learn he isn't real. Poor writing. I'm very angry they ended it that way. What was the entire point of the show if this character was just some double personality or something, it feels like they just needed to wrap it up or something
This scene always gets to me. I cried so hard during my rewatch; the pure innocence and optimism represented in the music, apologizing to Bob, etc. Rami Malek truly is perfect in the role.
Notice Qwerty at the dinner table! He is everywhere but is kind of unnoticeable. In season 3 after elliot got shot by Tyrell qwerty is with Angela. Little guy, also a friend who never left
This scene is so good. Made Elliot feel very human, someone who took the worst of it in life but still dreamt like the rest of us for something he truly wanted.
I always come back to this and imagine myself in all these moments in my own life. Surrounded by all the people I love at a table eating. To have a life/future worth fighting for… A life/future that doesn’t feel so lonely. Even though it does feel empty and lonely.
And I believe now I can safely say I’m heading in that direction in a safe but cautious way. Im reconnecting with a girl ive know for half my life, my oldest friend of 25 years, helping family how I can and made new friends as well. It’s great to think how much I’ve turned things around by opening myself up again. Keep dreaming guys 😴💤
I just binged this entire show in 2 months. At first I thought this scene was a little too artsy. But my brother who was addicted to pretty much every substance you can think of (now been sober for a year) - told me that this is a pretty accurate depiction of what addicts go through when there's no light at the end of the tunnel. and in some rare moments all you can do is daydream of a better future and hold on to these random moments no matter how unrealistic they may be. Now this is one of my favorite scenes ever.

My internet was out the night this aired, and when I was watching this scene, it was driving me NUTS where I knew the song from. I knew I recognized it, but I could NOT place it. I drove about three miles away from where I was living just go get reception on my phone so I could finally get that splinter pulled from my mind. Spoiler!!!!!!!! The foreshadowing of Leon shaking hands with Mobley and Trenton, the two people that he leads to their deaths a season later Incredible
Mobley and Trenton died in such a sad and meaningless way. I feel if Elliot hadn’t gone to prison voluntarily he could’ve prevented it by being the leader Darlene failed to be.
Undirectly this dream tells us that is a fantasy. Because Elliot wants to be cool with everyone but barely knows the current situation of everyone, like it happens with every one of us. You see, Angela is happy but in the show she was having an inner struggle fighting for revenge or being rich and accepted, Tyrell and Joanna would never had been the classic good family, he craves for power, she craves for self satisfaction, they are not that kind of people. Darlene wished that but probably wouldn't be able to live that happy just with a marriage proposal, Bill probably would have hitted Elliot, or maybe just didn't remembered him.
Eh I think this scene is supposed to be a sign of peace between characters They have the villains sitting at the end of the table and the good Characters in the rest of the seats this is to symbolize that Elliot just honestly wants peace, he just wants people to be nice and get along with one Another you have to remember even though he didn't mind Ray or Tyrell, they still anoyyed him and put him through hell
Every lonely, silent observer feels this deeply. We want the people we care about to be happy but since we don't know how to make people happy, it's easier to remember memories of people being happy.

Spoilers season 3 He wanted to destroy E-corp and everythin they own. He could not cope with the real consequences of what happened in season 3 as lots of people lost their lives. His moral code is under no circumstances not to take people's lives. Mr.Robot doesn't mind though.
@@mrsbrdvd6955 Mr Robot does mind, he went ahead with stage 2 making sure that central building had no people at the time of detonation. Although the cyberbombing throughout the country was something he wasn't aware of, and was all whiterose's doing, Mr Robot himself wouldn't do something like that
