Because herbicides are CHEAPER. If cultivating was cheaper no one would use herbicides. Lower input costs mean more profit for large corporate farms. This is why you only see this OLD technology on organic farms. Organic produce has a 25 to 50% greater profit margin so the increased cost of production is compensated by an increased price for the crop.

Honestly to go 100 % organic is to much control given away . I can grow 99.9 % organic but can't market it becouse all the politics. That want to see everything and then some . to much B S
