  • In this video, dozens of Venezuelans have been detained by police after arriving in Guyana at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo. They also bought 282 fighting fowls in bags and the police seized all of them. Police documented them on the site and then took them to the station to further process them. The Venezuelans have been arriving in Guyana ever since the economy collapsed. The country is in crisis, with residents having no food, medicine and other necessities.

A sad story but at least they can eventually settle into the Guyanaese society/ culture and their adoption wouldn't be as difficult because there are lots of Guyanaese living in Venezuela. The guy in the black shirt speaks intelligently and he said the facts about there was a time when Guyanaese used to migrate to Venezuela so now there shouldn't be discrimination against them coming to Guyana. They will eventually learn to adjust to the laws of Guyana and its expected that they obey it as much. I hope that they will find jobs for the adults and education for those children. Our law enforcement services handle the situation very well. Thumbs 👍🏽 to them. God bless all. Humans are humans, none should have to be hungry or scared for their life in any society they are living in. As the old saying goes * what goes around comes around *. Once Guyanaese used to leave and run, now its Guyana's term to welcome anyone with open arms. God bless beautiful Guyana 🇬🇾. ❤♥️🙏👌👌💯✔️👍🏽✋️✌️🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾💯💯💯

This is a sad situation from a humanitarian standpoint. However, this is putting a strain on the economy of other countries. Guyana already has a vast amount of their citizens who are desperately in need and must come first. These people are not vetted. This is the same dilemma we are faced with in the united states and the tax payers are left with the burden, and our homeless population is left behind. What is the solution?????

Thank you so much for your comment, but you got that wrong! All my videos are not about Venezuelans. And in this particular video, I wasn’t helping anyone. I was simply highlighting a situation that took place at the Tuschen Sea Dam. Besides, I help Guyanese as well. In most cases, the donors decide who should receive assistance. I hope that answers your question.

Terribly sad. Just the other day I was at Charity market and saw a Venezuelan mother and four kids all bare feet. They were walking very fast so I couldn’t catch up to them. I wanted to buy them each a pair of shoes. These people didn’t want to leave but because of no food or work they have no choice but to leave.

Why don’t you take up Charity work seeing you are giving me commands. The audacity of you to tell me what I should have done. Let me inform you, I have been an advocate for children and adolescents in the country I live in. I don’t live in Guyana. I am a social worker and take my job seriously in the country I belong to. I currently work with homeless youth with drug addiction and mental illness. So please do not patronize me. You will never know the things I have done in my field of work, taking from my own pocket to provide to vulnerable youth who are at risk when the organization I work for can not fund what I need to assist the youth. I am by no means wealthy. It was a Monday at Charity market and it was market day, they disappeared in the crowd very quickly. The music was blasting in the open market. Firstly, I am passed middle age. I am not an Olympic sprinter. Was I supposed to jump into a taxi and tell the driver to drive into the crowd and mow down the crowd to find the mother and children? You don’t seem to have a brain, spitting out thoughtless comments. I don’t need to explain myself to you because I don’t owe you an explanation. However, your stupidity begs to question your level of understanding. Shame on you and the two people who gave you two likes.

I understand the situation and its very sad, BUT i believe that the guyanese govt should work closely with the venezuaelan govt to see who the adults are and if they have any criminal records. For example, one woman brung fighting fouls (illegal in guyana) but she is saying, that is her only source of income, and is annoyed that she cant keep them. She may as well have brought some cocaine too, if that be the case. When people come, they can also bring their bad habbits. They can be murderers, or what not. we dont know

Hi Shabana , kindly do a follow-up on these Venezuelan’s ! It’s heart breaking watching what’s happening with them indeed. Some of these Venezuelan’s are Guyanese who either left at an early age or were born in Venezuela 🇻🇪. The current Guyana Government must accept and help these people integrate into Guyanese society. At this time there’s a shortage of labour in Guyana. These Venezuelan’s wants to work and can fill Guyana’s labour shortages.

@@nom5205 you’re absolutely correct about the numbers… That’s because I depended on the Guyanese-Venezuelans to provide me with the info for them. Of course I acted as a humanitarian first… Before the police took them away, I told Reshma I’ll buy the ingredients to make a big pot of food for them. But then, I left some money with her to cook and take the food to the station. She told me she gave the money to some of them for travelling instead because the police apparently gave them food.
