Yes! This is how a cover is done - keeping the emotion of the original, but this is absolutely the folk/symphonic/power metal vibe I'd expect from EE! Also a great arrangement, with the ladies' voices coming across as sweet, mournful, and even slightly sinister at different points of the song. ❤🔥🔥❤🔥🔥❤🔥

Exit Eden suddenly releasing new songs is one of my unexpected, yet very much appreciated things happening in 2023.
First time hearing this Group, they rock this song. Wow, they did great.

I'll take symphonic opera/power metal over metalcore/deathcore, nu-metal anytime any day. This is pure art and talent and yes plays a huge role in traditional style heavy metal.

It needed the power that Somerville brought to the table honestly, it was good but couldve been so much better with her as lead. Marina was still good tho.

lol this cover is fantastic. But the original Journey video is so deeply ingrained in my brain that I keep expecting to see the camera zoom in on Exit Eden three times in a row while they turn quickly to face it.
I keep forgetting how tall Clem is....but man, it is REALLY noticeable here.

Exit Eden is better band in my opinion now, than it was with the former singer. Because her vocals drowned all the other's lyrics with her so deep and resonant vibrato. Now i actually here these gorgeous ladies. Also the Mariana(mean the South American one) is my future wife. Love her looks

@@nordsnow Amanda's voice was too full and in cover songs at least it overshadowed the other singer's voices too much imo.
Maybe in this project they could of gotten her to do singing little softer. But I'm glad these ladies started this album, and it was Amanda's own choice to quit
i thought i was the only one that felt that way! don't get me wrong amanda somerville is great and i loooved her duet with simone simmons. but i really wanted to hear the others more! Anna didn't get to shine as much as the other three and I get to hear more of Marina's gorgeous voice

Man, something about Journey in particular seems to make them the perfect band to be covered by symphonic metal supergroups. This and Northern Kings' cover of "Don't Stop Believing" are some of their best songs, and frankly some of the best covers I've heard just in general

This was the best band (Journey) from the 80s (personal opinion) and this is by far the best and favorite cover of this song ever. Serious Hecatean vibes with these three. Love the growth from their first album.

I'm so sad Amanda isn't here anymore, she was my favorite. But this song is fire!!! In my top 10 favorite covers this year.
Actually, I think they work better as a trio. Amanda was and is a great singer, but her voice was too powerful for a group like EE. She had the habit of drowning out her fellow singers.
