Fr Chris, thank you for telling us that the doors of The Natl Shrine of The Divine Mercy will never be locked while you’re Provençal Superior. Covid was a difficult time for me - watching the Liturgy of the Eucharist online was difficult for me because I knew I couldn’t receive our Lord. I pray us faithful Catholics will never be denied communion ever again. You are a true man of God and I am so thankful for your steadfastness in always bringing us the truth.
I echo your comments Tanya. For me, Covid was a double edged sword. The churches were closed, but somehow the Holy Spirit directed me to online Catholic sites so my faith grew. You might say it prepared me for the main event that was to come two years later, viz meeting the Marians. And yes, if the government ever tries to close churches again, I will not comply. I remember Fr Chris’s initial remarks at the Mass-at Saint John’s addressed the openness of the state of Florida. Honestly, I don’t remember his Mass homily, but he caught my attention immediately with those comments.

Beautiful homily Father Chris Alar on the woman with a daughter tormented by demonic forces and how Jesus Christ saw her Faith as even the dogs receive the left overs scraps from the table . As she recognized Jesus Christ as son of David , Jewish leadership, and Jesus tested her faith to see how well she understood. Fr Chris, thank you for telling us that the doors of The Natl Shrine of The Divine Mercy will never be locked while you’re Provençal Superior. Covid was a difficult time for me - watching the Liturgy of the Eucharist online was difficult for me because I knew I couldn’t receive our Lord. I pray us faithful Catholics will never be denied communion ever again. You are a true man of God and I am so thankful for your steadfastness in always bringing us the truth.
I echo your comments Tanya. For me, Covid was a double edged sword. The churches were closed, but somehow the Holy Spirit directed me to online Catholic sites so my faith grew. You might say it prepared me for the main event that was to come two years later, viz meeting the Marians. And yes, if the government ever tries to close churches again, I will not comply. I remember Fr Chris’s initial remarks at the Mass-at Saint John’s addressed the openness of the state of Florida. Honestly, I don’t remember his Mass homily, but he caught my attention immediately with those comments.
