Arishma is all about style,beauty n glorious voice n she is the Pakistan's 1st female dhol player , Arishma, the first female dhol player of Pakistan, says when she started dhol, her teachers would emphasize the mystic style of dhamal a lot. They would insist that I must always start playing from devotional rhythm of dhamal. She says she didn’t quite understand them back then. “I was more into Bhangra, Sialkoti, Pashto and other rhythmic styles.”
She says she has never performed at Sufi shrines, because women are not allowed to play there. “But whenever I play dhamal now, I don’t get tired.”
Arishma has been giving public performances in Lahore.
