I love all these parallel proclamation ceremonies throughout the Commonwealth realms. It truly exemplifies how all are separate and sovereign monarchies, United in personal Union. I just wish I were able to find any information about his proclamation in Grenada… the Grenadian government is horrible at communicating about such things
Yes that's unfortunate. I haven't heard any news from Grenada either. I've noticed in some places, like in Jamaica, the proclamation wasn't televised. Hopefully, we'll be able to see a proclamation in Grenada televised.
@@TheDukesArchive Indeed… I hope so, though my hopes aren’t high. The Grenadian government is notoriously terrible at communicating anything, especially since they have virtually no presence on social media. If I’m honest, I suspect they probably had a similar private ceremony to Jamaica unfortunately. The Governor-General, prime minister and leader of the opposition however all issued very beautiful statements of condolences upon the queen’s death, so that’s something in the least
@@TheDukesArchive Yep, they had a small private proclamation ceremony at the Viceregal Residence, conducted by the GG and attended by the cabinet and British High Commissioner.
