Hi thanks for watching and commenting! This is an older video so it actually doesn't matter as much anymore. To do it exactly as the video, it should be saved as a tif (make sure it's converted to a bitmap first; otherwise, you won't be able to color it in Illustrator), and then open it in Illustrator. However, if you have a greyscale image (whether it's a png, jpeg or tif), you can overlay a color and change the blending mode to achieve a similar effect.
ik this was a long time ago but i need help when i press shift alt v it just opens the view drop down menu unsure how to get the leather inside the illustration
did you make this template piece by piece and move them together? asking cus i wanna know how you can edit the sleeves and colors seprately pls answer lol
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Check the keyboard shortcuts in Illustrator (CTRL-K). It sounds like your shortcut isn't doing what you think it should. Perhaps that shortcut was changed to something else. You can also just go to the Edit menu, and choose "Paste in Place".
@@383designthank you for replying liked and subbed 💖 could u lmk how u created the template in the way you did. ie ur able to access each piece of the template eg. collar, sleeve
Do you open the leather file as a tiff? Or just regular image?

@@jasonlewis3748 At that time I'm sure I drew each piece separately. Now, I'd use Shapebuilder to create closed shapes for each shape.
Thank you
