Am loving these historic brawl videos. I have to try this deck. My version of Windgrace was a travesty (it was running some questionable cards though) but this deck looks really powerful and fun.
I do love historic brawl content :>. Would love to see a Golgari life gain combo deck with Dina, Soul Stealer with Exquisite Blood and Tutors and Sacrifice effects. I used to play a variant of it before Alchemy got too wild and it could definitely take on tier 1 decks but normally sat in tier 2 historic brawl. But I'm not sure if that's the kind of deck you'd enjoy playing. What could be fun would be to make a 'Shea' deck of Orzhov tokens with Teysa Karlov or a similar token based commander and lots of triggers :).
I'm so glad you made this. I was pretty aimless when looking at what kind of deck to build around my favorite card in DMU. Now I know what kind of deck I want to make even though I don't have the wildcards to make this exact build.

I played against you with this deck a couple weeks ago, I was hoping I made it into the video but the game didn't last long. You ripped my hand apart and blew up two of my lands by turn 5 and I had nothing so I scooped lol. I'm sure it didn't make for great content, though 😂
AWESOME VIDEO MUST WATCH IMMEDIATELY YAY HISTORIC BRAWL I enjoyed every second this deck is insane cool it is definitely a smashing the mana ramp is sweet conbine that with land destruction there like no chance for opponent even counter user will eventually lose their lands the last match is my favorite lol I stayed till the end even through commercial for more support and I can't wait to see what you do next and please never forget CGB you're cool 😎🤟🏾❤️
If you like blowing up lands as a backup plan you should try Vadrok. Build it as a tempo style deck with some good mutate cards and use some of the good conjuring and doubleteam cards alchemy (ik booooh alchemy sucks) brought us to get copies of your vadrok mutate pile into your hand and mutate them again. The deck has so many angles to attack. You can go for a protect the Queen playstyle and tempo your opponent out, you can take a more controlling position and grind them out or you can just run people over with aggressive draws. Recasting stone rain is one of the more enjoyable things to do.
I personally prefer adding some haste to the deck to have windgrace trigger twice the turn he enters. Also brushfire is amazing at damage with windgrace and the cracklands that enter and search immediately
For the HBG Specialize creatures: they all do one thing on ETB and one thing when they specialize plus get some form of keyword type ability. You really only need to learn one thing and then use the color pie to infer the color's ability. Lukamina gets a color pie based keyword and ability (deathtouch and must be blocked for black as an example) on her animal form and when she dies in the animal form she returns to the battlefield unspecialized. It's really that last part that you have to be aware with on her and it's consistent on all of her animal forms.
Do you think this as a framework for a commander deck would work, or is it too narrow and better for 1 v 1 brawl? The fear being Arch Enemy every game because of the LD.
CGB are you playing on one of your playmats in Historic Brawl and then a normal mouse pad for standard? Use CGB playmat for better luck in standard. Play/draw ratio will be better me thinks! 😃
Man if only I had wildcards. Arena is so frustrating to get wildcards ... :( This might be the wrong video to ask for a standard deck, but could you give demir control with sheoldred a spin? Or sultai maybe? Maybe sultai with the giant of industry top end can give demir control more of a wincon? I don't know if you are answering comments but do you think wrenn and seven has any role in the current meta?
I play a Dimir Sheoldred deck and so far it's been working great. Counter spell central, tons of draw, with Invoke Despair and Sheoldred as win con, and then Dubious Cover Up to keep invoking despair over and over. No Lier, no Hullbreaker. There's two sneaky Poppet Stitchers in there as replacement for the Witch that made Pest tokens. Ranking up has gone well so far with it, but I'm still at a low tier to be fair.
Urborg, CGB, Urborg. Windgrace is from Urborg, not Jund. Silly non-Vorthos Magic players, not knowing the lore and only focusing on color identity, like Magic is a game and not just a vehicle for an incredibly convoluted and inconsistent story.
Ive never played against a good Jodah deck theyre very janky, most of the time they play a bunch of nonsense non-legendaries and even if they get Jodah out they scoop once he dies. Taking him out at instant speed is particularly funny when they get over-zealous and all in with everything

Any chance of doing a Friendly Brawl 40 card version? A friend and I play during lunch, and 40 card commander works great for that!
