Lots of restaurants and food court with good food are available at the basement. Singaporeans and local residents head to Jewel for meals sometimes. Easily accessible via train on east west line
So far the best vlog video about Singapore, i have ever seen. You both are lovely couple. Very interesting. Best part is lovely music and clarity. Heather, u kept the whole video lively. 😊
Two comments. First, great to see how much Haw Par Village has improved. When we went 6 years ago, it had fallen into pretty serious disrepair. Second, for those into hiking, Singapore has some great areas. Bukit Timah is a tough climb. MacRitchie Reservoir is a nice long hike. Henderson Wave and the Southern Ridges also provide a good walk in combination with great architecture.

Absolutely fascinating. Native Californian here. Been visiting Singapore from childhood to adulthood, to see relatives and eat/shop. But, you showed me things even I was not aware of! Your tour of Singapore was so impressive we want to draft behind you following your choices with a few of our own in the Fall 2023. Could you share with us what hotel you stayed in while you were there? Thanks
Thank you!! We stayed half the time at Holiday Inn Express near Clark Quaye and Four Points by Sheraton Riverside. The hotels were not far from each other and in a great area! Way to go. I was in Singapore back in 2019 (before nonsense happened) and it was a splendid two day and one night stay. Walked from my hotel to Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay. Took tons of pics. People, culture, food was all I expected. It was an awesome experience.
Time to go back! 😉
that bird you talk about eating baby crocodile, is a shoebill stork. The sound they made is like a machine gun noise.
Welcome to Singapore 🇸🇬 please come again soon 🤗 lovely content and thank you so much
Thank you for watching!! We can't wait to return to Singapore. 😊😊
Absolutely fascinating. Native Californian here. Been visiting Singapore from childhood to adulthood, to see relatives and eat/shop. But, you showed me things even I was not aware of! My BF is also Wisconsin-Minnesotan, and one day I’d like to take him to S’pore. I’ve traveled to all seven continents (penguins are just as curious of humans as we are of them), but I can’t video blog worth a satay skewer. 😢
I'm so glad we were able to share things you hadn't seen before! I guess it's time for a return visit with your BF! 😉😉 (Also, hello to BF from a fellow Minnesconsin-ite! 😁)
Alhamdullah saya dh ke Singapura memanjakan mata healling sejenak bertiga ciwik2 semua, hari jumat satu hari nyampe ka mna2 jln kaki 2kilo meter kulinernya mahal2

All cities across globe can / must learn how to keep a city green ...where ever we turn we can see green...awesome...brilliant
Singapore has done such a good job!
Awesome camera work and great commentary ❤
Thank you so much 😁
Thank you for sharing the Beautiful gardens!!
They really were beautiful!!
I just returned from Singapore/Malaysia, and it was amazing. I stayed in the Riverside area and walked everywhere and saw pretty much everything you guys visited. Oh, by the way the satay stickers are skewers. Great video from a single Aussie traveller. The colours of Singapore were fantastic, even Malaysia was similar.
We haven't been to Malaysia yet but it's high on the list! We're glad you enjoyed both places. 😊

Such a lovely video of your journey in Singapore. It’s a long video but you got me hooked and watched till the end. You’ve shown a totally different perspective which I’ve never seen from other TH-camrs. Well done!
Oh gosh, thank you so much - not just for watching, but for mentioning they're different. We really appreciate that! 🙏🏻😊

@1:12:26 the nutty smell comes from pandan leaves. theres a few of them when you mention the smell on the right side of your screens. long green leaves. we use it to make desserts too.
Thank you!! A few other people have said that's possibly what I'm smelling too! Do you know - is it a seasonal scent? Can I smell it year round, or only certain times? Thank you!!
you can smell it all year round and its not seasonal. its used to keep the cockroaches away too.
love your video btw ❤
Anything that helps with cockroaches AND smells that good is a win in my book. Thanks!!
@@TalesFromOurPocket Pandan leaves also known as Screwpine leaves.

The satays that you had in Lau Pa Sat in Satay Street, the sticks are actually from the coconut leaves, the center part of it.

12:16 Singapore's Botanic Garden the most visited in the world? Really? And, it wouldn't be Kew Garden in London?
Anyway, I think Jasmine flowers smell stinky but I love the smell of Honeysuckle when it perfumes the night air.

Thank you!!
Awesome video. Do you have a suggestion on we’re to stay in Singapore for 3 to 4 days. For accommodations?
We stayed near Clarke Quay and really enjoyed that area. 😊

😂😂 they all taste like chicken? 😉 Seriously though - hypothetically, let's say we're making a return visit to Singapore in 2023. Which 2 things on here are your most favorite or must-tries?
@@TalesFromOurPocket
All of the above
😅
@@TalesFromOurPocket I would recommend Laksa ( request for less spicy or no added chilli oil ) and Nasi Bryanni. Both are flavourful. Enjoyed watching your video from start to end !
@@TalesFromOurPocket BBQ Stingray is a must try! Thanks for the beautiful videos our little red dot Singapore! 💕
Nice view
Did you miss the SEA aquarium in Singapore? That’s well worth a visit whenever/if you return
You're correct - we didn't make it there. Next time, I guess! :)

Good video and host too 😳🤭👍🤗
Thanks! 😊
Jurong bird park is now replaced by Bird Paradise which was newly opened since Q2 2023. Enjoy!
Best video 😍❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!! 🤗
Quieter but relatively easy to get places. Lots of food options (I mean, it's SG so it's not hard!). We stayed in both hotels using hotel points, so I can't comment on cost. I hope your trip is as amazing as ours was!
@@TalesFromOurPocket thank you we can’t wait.
Enjoy
Thanks!
