@@krisb-travel they close out the contract and traders lose money. It reduces their open float and they get more principal to put into the market. That's why the price can't rise/fall forever, they're limited in their equity and have to 'correct' the market to get some back. Stop hunting is one way they do that.
What i learnt is the MM have huge money and plenty of time and they can swing price away from you and once your out they return to original direction, if you have plenty of time and good leverage then you can maybe compete..
Correct me if I'm wrong, I have read somewhere that there is immense competition among market markets, as in heavily traded stocks, there might be many market markets moving the price. If this is the case then they get screwed equally as much as us traders.
he doesnt fully understand what is happening... the market makers set the price...period they dictate when there is a rally and when there is a crash. and the bankers work hand in hand with them supplying them with whatever they want ..knowing very well they are good for it. they also take fundamentals into accoun t...and make money off it by moving the market the way the foolish public want ..eg lets say interest rates are going down......the market maker knows that this in the foolish eye of the public means stocks will rise... so for no other reason than that ..he puts the price up .......BUT .UNBEKNOWN TO THE PUBLIC..he knew from the bank of england rates were going to be brought down. so he took the market down ..himself ....quickly ...and made people panic and sell loads...and the bank ensured he could pay for it all.. and he stocked up his inventory...then waited for friday when rates were lowered.....and he sharply increases the price ..and you fools come running and demanding more stock. and he sells you all his inventory at a high price..which he bbought at a low price... so he not only makes the spread....he makes sheer profit. all along you think the price moved up on due to demand the reality is HE MOVED THE PRICE UP ON HIS OWN....AND THAT IS WHAT DRIVES DEMAND... the fundamentals mean nothing to the stock market.. the charts mean nothing to the stock market. they are just used by him the market maker to cover his corrupt ways. and this presenter .....didnt know that.
The more i trade the more i figure that these brokers are a bunch of crooks, why as soon as price hit my entry it stops, when it was moving so fast in my entry direction with strong momentum.
The market is not out to take your money. The market is out to make money. But how do they do this. How else can billions of dollars of orders be filled? They need to reach stop loss zones to force traders to sell to them. It’s simple. Just ride the wave 🌊.
No. You've just got to ensure your entries are good enough so the probability is that there are more buyers or sellers in the direction you want the price to move. Simples.
