I am not familiar with this washi tapes but I watched it because I have a feeling that I can use it when panting or using water colors and then I saw your comment what a coincidence might order one of this HAHAHAHA
Tbh when I started the video I assumed that this product was useless because I thought "why do you need tips to figure out how to use an item at all?" BUT the idea of using it as a white out type product to keep things looking nice is actually super super useful. Thanks for opening my eyes, now I have an excuse to buy cute tape lol!
This was the perfect explanation of what all the fuss is about washi tape. I have tons and had no clue of how to use them. Thanks so much for making and sharing this video. I especially like the page border, paper clip bookmark, and the color coding. I will be trying all of these ideas especially the three I’ve mentioned. Thanks again!!!
Love this video! I purchased the CM journal back in December and have been using it consistently for 2019. I purchased washi tape 2 years ago for an older planner and had no idea what to do with it. THIS was the perfect video for me to get creative and see some value in the things I already have sitting at home. Love your videos!
Oh, I love that page marker idea. As I was watching, it dawned on me that you could even place the tape so that it extends a little bit past the edge of the paper, like a tab does.
So cool! Thanks for all the tips! Something I use wash tape for is to mark my fine liner pens. The nib size number wears off over time so I wrap them in different tapes to color code the sizes. I just do that for the sizes I use most often. Hope you have a great weekend!!!
Hello Ann Le! Thank you for this fun video! I am fairly new to the world of Washi Tape, however when I asked Google about how to use it your video came up-- and I'm so glad it did! I learned something new and wonderful--especially the Book Mark and Page Markers! I read several different Bibles, Devotionals and books, so this creative idea cuts way down on flipping through the pages to find current places! You have beautiful penmanship, and I was also intrigued by the type of writing instruments and that pretty Washi Tape that you used throughout your video-- and I was wondering where I may purchase them! Again, thank you Miss Ann Le for this informative, fun and creative video! I am inspired to implement these fresh creative concepts!
Thank you so much Ann! I love washi tape! A little tip: If you like shapes in your journal or planner you can border it with washi tape to give it a decorative look.
@@vivianawilliamslondon oh, no! I am a yarn addict now....probably better not start with the washi tape.....although it is much cheaper than hand-dyed yarn
@Ann Le thank you for the great video. I have known about Washi Tape for years, but finally took the plunge, after seeing an advertisement for The Washi Tape Shop on Instagram. As someone who reads a lot of books, I can easily see myself using Washi Tape for making bookmarks. However, I also love the idea of using Washi Tape for making borders on pages, too. I have no doubt I AM going to become a life-long Washi Tape user very soon.
I love washi! I have a large box of it, it can easy become an addiction. My last washi purchase was white so I can make my own, with stamps and so on, if I should get an idea that my already purchased, patterned, washi doesn't cover. Don't know what would be though, but then I am covered 😄
These are all terrific ideas! Thank you *so* much for sharing! I'm going back to school at 24, & I can't wait to spice things up with these tips & the gold glittery washi tape i got 😁
omg I couldn't for the life of me figure out what washi tape was, just looking at images of it online, but wow! Instant sparks of creativity now! I'll never use post-it flags in my books again!
Thank you for this easy to follow video, found it so interesting, especially your happy vibe throughout. I just started to pen-pal and did not for the life of me understand what this colourful tape was that I was being sent hahaha. Okay so NOW I know different uses and will definitely return the favour. 🥰🥰👍👍
Omg you're a life saver! I've had washi tape for like.. a few months now and I just didnt make time to journal and use it but this week I started to journal and i tried to make my journal look somewhat organised lol but i feel like my washi tape has no.. structure the way I'm using it in my journal lmfao it's like everywhere and looks like blotches or big pieces of confetti lol it doesnt feel or look pleasing to me so yea I typed into youtube 'How to use washi tape' and I didnt even think I'd have to search that up but omg I'm here haha thank you for this!! :) xxx
Enjoyed your video very much, and love the selection of washi tapes that you used. I looked at your page of supplies, and none of the washi tapes shown looked like the ones you used in the video. Could you please tell me who makes the ones in the video and where I can buy them? Thanks!
thank you so much for the bookmark idea; i'm definitely going to try that! :) i also didn't know that washi tape doesn't leave any marks and that you can keep reusing it :)
this was a great video, thank you so much for sharing...thumbs up & subscribed. I only just got into washi tape and just ordered 50 rolls and a four pk dispenser! Yes I am obsessed. I don't even know exactly what I'm doing with it, just stick it on my bullet journal pages, to mark things and to make me happy, lol your video was definitely helpful for some ideas of what to do! Loved them!!
I always struggle with writing on it with the right marker/pen. Any recommendations on what writes well on washi tape besides the 1 marker pen you're using?
A little tip: you can rip washi using ruler or card, no need for a scissors, it makes a clean tear ❤️
LOVE THAT! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Wow great tip! TYSM.
oooohhhhhhhh
I knew this tip
I use a straight blade and it leaves a nice clean edge
Another tip for washi tapes is that they are very resistent to painting, if you are gonna paint with water colors or acrylic, they are perfect!
I am not familiar with this washi tapes but I watched it because I have a feeling that I can use it when panting or using water colors and then I saw your comment what a coincidence might order one of this HAHAHAHA
I use washi tape as masking tape when I have to do painting but don't have masking tape...😁
I never thought about marking the edges or corners. That’s a great idea! 😁

Thanks for the examples! I’m always looking for “ways to washi”!! I think my favorite was the bookmark
I love the book mark idea with the tape along the outside edge of the page!!! Brilliant!
Loved the bookmark idea. Easy, practical and sooooo affordable.

Is it ok if i use washi tape as an alternative to sticky tabs?
Thanks for sharing, what kind of markers do you use that maybe wont bleed.
Your handwriting it so good!
It’s so cute and beautiful! Great ideas and easier to make something pretty and colorful than only use color pens which didn’t enough well.

Thank you for this! I got some for the holidays and I wasn’t sure what to do with it!

You can use almost anything. I wouldn’t suggest gel because it smudge but if you let it dry out, it can work too.
Ah I love washi tape! I have a terrible habit of buying it haha
Thanks for sharing these great tips.
Love your 🖊 penmanship 💌
What writing tool are you using in the very beginning the video? It's different from the gel pen you use in other shots.
