@@BmanZeroBlank it's fine. what's done is done, just try your best to allocate your fuel on the important stuff you need starting now. gacha will always be there. it's a good thing that star rail is a game you can log into everyday and have energy waiting for you. even if you miss a day, there's another one after that and you still get energy overcap. i also quit for a couple months after playing the game and when i came back again it was really easy to get familiarized again, since the game takes less than 7 minutes to do dailies. even when i was a total noobie at first and wasted resources, you'll eventually catch up anyways

Somebody was collecting data and they only got 8 purples in 231 runs This is what you need, but you probably already know this four star: 12 green, 54 blue, 105 purple five star: 18 green, 69 blue, 139 purple I *think* you'd need to do 260 runs (2600 TBP) on average to 100% max out a 5 star's traces, and 86 runs (860 TBP) for a four star character's based off of data from a data gathering server
Traces vs relics never made sense to me. You might need months to get a decent relic set, traces are done in like 2 weeks. Can just use some half assed stuff with the right main stats when they're fresh
Honestly you should use fuel on guaranteed things like level and traces. I don't think I need to remind you that there is a high chance of spending them on relics and not getting good stats.
I just give up min-maxing relics, so I can focus on maxing out traces and building more characters…because this game favors horizontal investment more, especially now that brute-forcing off-element is dead.

Is the more crit damage the better your Acheron is? My f2p gnsw acheron has 180 cd and 40 cr (traces are only 7/10) but she still does absolutely no damage? 50k at max
Honestly, reasonable takes. IMO speed/HP is one of the better places to focus on since supports in my mind are the keystones in this game and will take you way further than having a cracked out DPS. Sure, the built DPS will likely carry some late game content but only with decent support units.
Not just that, any DPS/hypercarry double crit pieces u get while farming support stuff can be used in rainbow offense sets until you can nail down BIS relics
how i farm now is first look at upcoming 5 stars, choose who i want, go to leveling calculator on hoyo lab and farm their traces (if they have new trace materials i switch this step with the step after the next one), i do this till they come out and i get them and if i dont get them then i have there traces for their rerun, then i farm their relics for the rest of their banner and after their banner i put on their best relics that i can get. then when the second part of the version arrives i do this again and as a almost f2p who only buys the star rail pass and nothing else it is rewarding and it means that if a better relic set comes out for older characters i will probably farm it at some point for the new 5 star and if i don't get the 5 star i can just wait for their rerun for traces or give these trace materials to a different character. In my opinion its a great way to rotate different characters and make older ones stronger and experiance new gameplay as a almost f2p and even if you are f2p it still works as i only broke f2p around the one year mark and i did this still with great enjoyment. so if you want to try this go ahead but weather you do or don't remember one thing, get hoyo lab and use the leveling calculator cus it makes life 100% easier when farming. anyway happy farming
I have only ever done this 3 times on Genshin and lost the 50/50 every time. On star rail, I decided not to do this and was on a streak of winning 4 50/50s, and the only two I ever lost, I ended up getting the character after less than 15 pulls both times. That was until I decided to pre farm black swan and lost the 50/50.

I would definitely say farmed the speed relics because it speeds everyone wants speed. Dps can use it as a placeholder until you get their relics and then support and sustainer want speeds
i agree with investing in one team at a time. But i have a bit of a caveat that i get functional relics for my teams to level 9. But wait until i have the highest level caverns to farm since it lowers the chance of getting garbage and should make it easier. to get "good" relics.
I really like farming the quantum set because you can put the 2-Pc wuthering snow on most of your support characters. I mostly build my my supports on 2-Pc/2-Pc. All in all i mostly farm caverns that have relics with 2-Pc like ATK 12%/ HP 12% so that i can put on most units.
to the part about half investing, sometimes you dont have to farm relics for some units, when you have tingyun built and you want to build for example robin, they both use pretty much the same stuff, atk, speed and some defensive stats for survivability, meaning that as long as you dont use them in the same team you can have 1 build for 2 units, it aplies to a lot of builds like 4piece genius of briliant stars that you can use on any crit dps and it will always work just fine and you barely miss out on dmg compared to their BiS set
As someone who has refused to farm relocs anymore then necessary and at this poknt has pretty much every character on my account (including all the 4 stars) to atleast talent level 8 on all there traces, i appreciate having some direction for some sets to farm
my biggest advice, most relic sets are really not important, you are better off majority of the time running random pieces with good substats instead of a full set with ok substats. Not saying you should not farm the full set bcs thats all you have left to do on the "end game", but not having a full set is not a big deal at all

Came here to find out the most efficient way to farm for Feixiao. But basically just saying the same thing as I was thinking. I'm also preparing for Lingsha who will go great in my Firefly Team. So I'm living in the Cavern with Iron Cavalry and Wind-Soaring. This Cavern has exactly what I need for my chosen characters
I needed this because my struggle has always been what do I do now? Once I start to focus on one team, I start to stress because you need TWO teams to complete MOC/AS/PF. So I'm always like what is more important? And it takes SO many resources to upgrade characters so I have a hard time figuring out who takes priority.
Man, i wish HSR did like aether gazer and allowed us to convert relic pieces to different sets. It will literally change everything. Just give us an item twice a month or once oer event that can be used for that ane it won't disturb the endless grind but it will make the shit more bearable for sure.
Just want to add that a fast 4 pc Eagle set is so worth it on supports, that it's worth farming the Wind/Ice domain if you're an endgame player. Sure, the Ice pieces are useless, but not even 4 pc Messenger can provide the sheer amount of extra turns that Eagle can. That being said, you do have to hit high enough SPD breakpoints for this to matter, which is why I only recommend it for endgame builds that want to further improve their supports. (Obviously don't farm this for Robin, and tbh it might not be worth it for Ruan Mei since it ruins her Ult uptime. Bronya it depends- fast Bronya NEEDS it, slow Bronya HATES it. Otherwise it's BiS for all other supports iirc.)
I wish i would have done this. Ever since i ran out of materials early game ive never recovered. Its like im always playing catch up, then bam another character to level up.

saving up excess power in the first place is stupid af. just use your power daily. it takes fing 5 minutes of playtime, maybe 10 recovering 1 point of energy takes 6 minutes.. so it takes exactly 24 hours to completely refill... filling up 1 point of of the reserved energy takes 18 minutes.. so by not using energy daily you basically lose almost 70% of your energy. the 500 energy saved would have been 1500 energy if you had just actually played the game. the overflow energy is meant to at least don't make players lose 100% of their energy in case they can not play for a few days and not for "saving" energy on purpose, because you don't save anything but lose a lot of energy instead so yeah if you dont have time to play use the overflow, but if you don't play on purpose, because you think you can save up energy you misunderstood something completely
My priority list is level, then traces, then light cones and finally relics, I will say I am still pretty early in my adventures so this might change later.
It's ok Brax, I have around 112 fuel and I have no idea what to use them on so I usually let my resin overflow so I'll rather use that resin than my actual fuel. So now I have too much and I kinda like hoarding it especially since I'm F2P in this game.
The problem with just investing in one team is... atleast for PF you need very different teams. AC and MoC can be the same but PF need other stuff in my view. So if you dont want to didge one mode, you have to split your investment.

Eagle, Eagle, Eagle! It's *such* a good relic set for a bunch of supports and I'm legit upset I was always told it was niche because I wish I'd farmed a bunch of it earlier. Yeah the Ice relics that you also get from there are a little more niche, but with Herta being top-tier in p much every PF you'll definitely find a home for those as well.

I'm about to finish my first team, got some decent relics for my Firefly, and everyone else is on purple +12s while I get materials for maxing all their traces. The relic grind seems worse than Genshin, which I wouldn't think possible.
I've put so much power into black swan and kafka relics but my black swan still cant even get 120 EHR and my kafka struggles to break past 135 spd... even worse is that I cant even get an HP orb with decent substats for my huohuo, same case with broken keel

Your relics are good enough when you can fully proc the effects of your relic and planar sets. Fortunately, it's not all RNG. Sometimes hitting that benchmarks comes down to team composition.
All of my traces are maxed, I have every build I need, I have enough exp books for the future characters and light cones. Trailblaze power is just useless for me at this point.
The only game that i don't need this guide for is hsr. This is the only gane that i literally have nothing to spend power on. I have thousands of character/light cone/relic level up material. I have 30 million credits. I have more than half of my characters at level 80, level 80 LC, decently built relics and talents at the optimal level (most of them even more than the optimal level. By which i mean maxed out). And the characters that i haven't leveled are the truly useless ones. Im at that point that I'm just spending all my power at the most recent planar set just for the sake of farming something. I have no reason to farm it. And even farming that is becoming hard. Because I'm maxed out of relic inventory space (yeah i salvaged all the 4star ones. The 1800 space is filled with 5star relics). And i can't even do anything with the ones that i have. As i said all my characters are decently built and i can clear any form of end-game or SU content easily so i don't need to level new relics. Aaaand I'm completely f2p, with a bit of above average luck

My Acheron has around 48 crit rate in the overworld which becomes 64 in battle. My E1 should give 18 more cr but ut doesn't show in the battle. Does my e1 even work because if i count it properly it should be 82 cr.....

I'm about to finish my first team, got some decent relics for my Firefly, and everyone else is on purple +12s while I get materials for maxing all their traces. The relic grind seems worse than Genshin, which I wouldn't think possible.
I've put so much power into black swan and kafka relics but my black swan still cant even get 120 EHR and my kafka struggles to break past 135 spd... even worse is that I cant even get an HP orb with decent substats for my huohuo, same case with broken keel

Your relics are good enough when you can fully proc the effects of your relic and planar sets. Fortunately, it's not all RNG. Sometimes hitting that benchmarks comes down to team composition.
when you can clear the endgame mode that they function best in imo. only min max if you really want to or care enough about the character
All of my traces are maxed, I have every build I need, I have enough exp books for the future characters and light cones. Trailblaze power is just useless for me at this point.

The only game that i don't need this guide for is hsr. This is the only gane that i literally have nothing to spend power on. I have thousands of character/light cone/relic level up material. I have 30 million credits. I have more than half of my characters at level 80, level 80 LC, decently built relics and talents at the optimal level (most of them even more than the optimal level. By which i mean maxed out). And the characters that i haven't leveled are the truly useless ones. Im at that point that I'm just spending all my power at the most recent planar set just for the sake of farming something. I have no reason to farm it. And even farming that is becoming hard. Because I'm maxed out of relic inventory space (yeah i salvaged all the 4star ones. The 1800 space is filled with 5star relics). And i can't even do anything with the ones that i have. As i said all my characters are decently built and i can clear any form of end-game or SU content easily so i don't need to level new relics. Aaaand I'm completely f2p, with a bit of above average luck

My Acheron has around 48 crit rate in the overworld which becomes 64 in battle.
My E1 should give 18 more cr but ut doesn't show in the battle. Does my e1 even work because if i count it properly it should be 82 cr.....
It doesn't show in battle because Acheron only gets the 18% cr when she attacks a debuffed enemy.
