Transformers One held early access screens last night at 5pm and there was quite a few people in the screening I attended. I felt this movie was INCREDIBLE and word of mouth will spread on Thursday/Friday. It's making my best films of the year list for sure.
According the the box office, The Strangers Chapter 1 has made the most for Lionsgate this year at the box office. It made over $35 million worldwide this year. Now, there's been some trailers for 'Never Let Go', but I don't see or hear anyone getting excited to see it.
They’ve lost touch with audiences. They can’t just rely on their the couple franchises they own. There was no excuse for Borderlands, and they marketed the hell out of that film. Their home video division also needs to step it up. They announced Kill Bill 4K last year and still nothing. They haven’t released Scream 4 in 4k yet despite how popular that franchise is. At this point they might as well just license it out to Paramount, as they’re making a killing re-releasing that series.
Saw 11 was pulled because they didn't have an approved final script and wouldn't have made the start date of filming. Ballerina was pulled for re-shoots to punch up the action sequences. At least, that's what I recall reading about them.
I think Lionsgate is on a really major bad streak. They put out the wrong movies that didn't have major box office projections, horrible marketing for Lionsgate and it's gonna take a lot of time and patience for Lionsgate to fire some of it's staff and to turn around the studio in 2025. And the home entertainment division needs to get going and make it better, it can't be like this.
Transformers One will be the new number one at the box office next weekend, no doubt there. The movie is already receiving better reviews than Beetlejuice and its tracking for an opening of 42-50 million. No way the difference between Transformers and Beetlejuice will be small....as it looks now Beetlejuice looks to drop at least 50 % once again so i am predicting 22-25 million. Internationally Beetlejuice is doing way less business than in the States as the movie only made around 76 million after two weekends. Now don't get me wrong it will do fine for Warner but the movie is more a US hit than internationally. I am looking forward to Penguin and Frasier series premieres 💪
Random question, between the Cinemark Movie Club or AMC Stubs program, which one would you recommend? I’m debating on joining one but unsure which is better.
I would have thought Borderlands would have done good. It's from a videogame and great actors. All the new movies coming out next week could be good I've seen trailer on all three. Garfield coming to Netflix and Agatha on disney+ I'm excited about
The Killer’s Game might’ve been a flop at the box office but it’s a damn good movie, me and my brother really enjoyed it yesterday and we’re thinking about going to see it again Tuesday night. Really glad to see that Speak No Evil was in second place, James McAvoy and the girl playing his wife really kept my attention.
@@MoviesSue No no I wasn’t talking about that, you’re all good Sue. I was just talking about my opinion of it compared to the box office. I enjoy your content too much Sue and I don’t want to knock your opinion.
I feel like Lionsgate are cutting their losses for this year and hoping for a big boom with next years releases. We as cinema goers should be rooting for studios like lionsgate as in a minute Disney will be the only studio left 😢.
Amazing thank you for the update ❤
Honestly just saw Regan movie and I loved it! Especially the end at the credits with all the real pictures and videos of Regan.
Hi Susan! Totally agree with you regarding Speak No Evil….saw it yesterday afternoon and that it was very good! Happy Sunday!
Sundays are my favorite videos. Woohoo!
I actually liked The Killers Game. It was good. Speak No Evil was great
I like it too.

Ordinary Angels was a good Lionsgate movie from earlier this year. It wasn't a major hit but at least it earned back more than its production budget.
That was a great movie! Hilary Swank was excellent in it.
Ouch !!!!! They only have John Wick Saw And The Hunger Games Lionsgate sound like it’s in real trouble
Last night I saw "Speak No Evil." It was amazing! I've heard many people say the original Danish film is even better.
Warning, the original Doesn’t have such a good ending

Maybe, if Lionsgate makes Saw 11, I wish they pretend they were even there. I didn’t know Lionsgate do that like this.

I'm only familiar with AMC AList. I love mine.

I never said it wasn't a good movie. I stated facts about the box office performance.

@@redneck17guy53 gotcha, ok, I understand!
You forgot to mention that Lionsgate has “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever “ coming out. That is directed by the creator of “The Chosen” Dallas Jenkins
Wait, really? Oh man, I’m excited for that!
Didn't know about it.
Killer’s Game will be seen as a cult film as time goes on.
I haven't heard any reviews.
o man that sucks! me and my mom really wanted to see the killers game along with speak no evil!
Go and see it!
@@MoviesSue we just decided to see speak no evil last night and we really liked it!

I did say that when I ended the segment. I am rooting for them, but clearly something has to change.
The Speak No Evil was better than the original
There goes Bautista's career.
I don't think so, but he needs to choose his next project wisely.
😮lions gate is wasting money
Can’t say that if you ain’t seen it.
No they didn’t. You cannot say that if you didn’t see it.
was killer's game any good?
I haven't heard any reviews about it.
Batista is NOT a box office draw, don’t blame Lionsgate 😂😂😂
I never said what kind of draw Dave Bautista was and I never blamed Lionsgate. They simply have to change their strategy because it's not working.
Lionsgate needs to perhaps close all they produce is random films, have no bankable franchise apart from Hungergames.
No, they just need to have a better plan moving forward.
