I saw him ride at arlington park one year , and he destroyed the competition, win the riding title with a record breaking over 100 winners, outstanding!

Although Romero suffered an estimated of 25 fractures in racing spills and his body was severely burned in a sauna accident at Oaklawn Park, he returned to ride again and again with the same enthusiastic and optimistic attitude.
