Internal bleeding in the eye can be very scary.
Getting your eyes checked as a person living with sickle cell is very important. This is my journey of experiencing internal bleed in my eye.

I have this condition too am type SC … had lasers done 3 years ago in both eyes actually,I had a crises this year and the left eye started bleeding again ,not soo serious but this is surely not a child’s play ,it’s a serious condition

@@kinqoh I made sure to confirm with my eye doctor that my retina still looks good. I keep a yearly check on it. Last year was the first time I suddenly had cataract in that same eye and had to have the surgery, which was minor. I hadn’t had any further problems over the years, however only 95% of my visioned returned when it happened 30 years ago, and that lost vision never returned. It left a spot/floater in the bottom left section of that eye, and it never goes away. I can look around it though, and the other eye never had any retina issues.
