This is that haunting ride. I went on when Disney World in Florida first opened up. It's just been in my brain and I forgot where I had heard it from and then I stumbled upon this video, looking at old Disney World videos, the ride had those seagulls being projected on the walls of the rooms wherever you went. And it reminded me of - it's a small world - but a better version....had wings, had wings, had wings ....thank you so much for this mind candy❤❤❤
AH! The 70's! I loved the song and still sing it to myself at the odd moment. The whole song wasn't played during the ride. Mostly just the "If you had wings" parts, the Spanish accented guy singing, and the marimba playing from what I recall. I remember the flamingo crossing with that white hat guy. I remember at the end, the seat tilting back and wind blowing.
Very fond memories this song and attraction brings to mind. I remember riding the ride in the 70's and saying wow I wonder who could afford to go to all those cool places Easter Airlines went to. What a different world we live in today!
THANK you so much for posting this. I remember going on this ride so many times with my parents and little sister, it was free when the other rides needed tickets. Brings back so many memories. Disney World will never be the same.
If you had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings, had...AH, SHUT UP ALREADY! That instrumental break is hilarious. Xylophones and "gettin' down" DON"T mix.
@Elgatovolar = So nicely put. My parents would be dragging, and us kiddies would go on this FREE ride over and OVER. And then sing it all the way home. Quite soothing - if you are on ACID!
I was an electrician at WDW in the early 70's...as soon as it got dark is when young people lit up...the first turn, there was someone behind you...lol, it was the 70's!!!
Ahhh yesss... relaxing. Simple pleasures. My family lived in Orlando. When we went, maybe every two years or so, we'd always get to the park as soon as it opened and leave when it closed. I guess Dad wanted to get his money's worth. So, we'd get to the park and everybody would split up for big chunks of the day. Lines were nowhere NEAR as long as they are today. Eventually, we'd all meet up late at night in Tomorrowland in front of If You Had Wings. Mom and Dad would sit on a planter or bench, completely worn out, while me and my brothers would ride this ride over and over and over again. By that time of night, there were NO lines, and the employees usually just let you remain seated as you did yet another lap. It was a mini-vacation experience. Young minds like mine could use our imagination, especially on that part you're talking about. Remember they'd blow fans on you to make you feel like you were moving fast? Ahhhh, yessss... memories.
This was a free attraction back when WDW required tickets to use their rides. Also helped that it was a 5 minute advertisement for Eastern Air Lines complete with a reservation counter post-show. They replaced this with a Delta-themed ride, but the magic was gone.
Our first visit,in '75...I was 12...we saw the sneak preview of this ride while riding the Peoplemover, and I immediately wanted to go on it next. Like "Grim Grinning Ghosts" in the Haunted Mansion, you hear variations on the song throughout the ride.
I remember this ride and this song. Definite earworm throwback
I play this on my headphones while riding Buzz Lightyear Star Command
This song has been going through my head for thirty years.

It's nice to be part of the club that has had this Disney World Experience.
It was cool inside, no lines, free ride, it was real trippy. As a kid we'd ride this over and over.

Love this!! I remember this ride from when I was a little girl on our yearly WDW trips!! I miss this..super audio!!! ºoº
I have fond memories of this attraction!
My parents do too
You do have wings, you can do all these things, you can widen your World, Eastern: The Wings Of Man
No more Eastern Airlines, which explains why I don't have wings anymore.
Thanks for posting! I absolutley love this song. One of the best that they've had a WDW. I loved doing this as a kid.
Thank you so much for finding this soundtrack

Best part was the finale where you felt like you were flying over mountains.

@@Kolbgil Great response, thanks! Yep, those were the days.

My parents love this ride
Better than sitting outside on a bench... A/C!!! Good place to take a nap too.
Always thought it was saying "it's you and me, it's you and me, and me and me"...and thought it was the weirdest song.
I want some boneless wings :P
this ride was so trippy!
@barnabus5335 Although it isn't on any soundtracks, you can still hear it as part of the Tomorrowland background music loop.
dam this track is hotttttt
Amen
If this exhibit still around? The last time I was there it was Delta Air Lines.
The queue and parts of the ride were implemented into a Buzz Lightyear themed ride
@Kolbgil1
But if you were visiting in the summer, it was really great; free and air conditioned.
Come on people, the song isn't that bad. It beats United.
( I'll show myself out )
is this song still available on any disney soundtrack?
really? at the park they have it in the background?
Somebody on Reddit told me to look up this song. it's shit. Glad Disney upgraded from this song ages ago lol
Anthony Moraglia your a douchebag! A complete dipshit
