In this video, you mention using the seed pods to create pectin for the jam/jelly. I searched your videos looking for one about making the jam/jelly and couldn't find it.

You can also dry the seeds and when the pods are dry there will open and the seeds cab then b planted

Do you freeze the seed pods that you separated from the calyxes separately to use later when you make the jam with the calyxes?

No, I didn’t save the seed pods, but one could freeze them for use later in the jam. While it does add the pectin and hence improves texture, I have made jam without using the seed pod too and been okay with the resultant jam texture/thickness.

Can you tell me approximately how much water you used for the boiling method?

You need just about 1/4-1/2 cup of water based on the volume of the calyxes. Just enough so that they don’t burn. The calyxes will release also water as they cook down. The more water you gave the longer it will take to thicken it.

so harvest before or after they flower? I have one growing in my back yard, and some is flowering

Why bother to freeze them before you bag and freeze them? They take more space that way.

I freeze garlic separately also. If they're frozen before putting them in a ziploc bag, they don't stick to each other. So, if you don't need the entire contents of the bag, you can take out as many as you need, and the rest go back into the freezer.

So they will not stick to each other and it will be easy to remove the portion size that you’d want after freezing.
