- Brief rundown on my Honda VFR750/RC30 tribute build.
-Bike used was a 1990 Honda VFR750 and a 95 VFR750 Frame and swingarm.
-NC30 rear hub/brake caliper. Other components like rear subframe/fairings and other bits were sourced from Tyga Performance. They also have in depth build guides on this.

stay tuned as I get closer to completion! Like & subribe!
Very cool project and looking real good. I’ve been thinking of doing this. Being able to ride a rc30 and not worrying about it as much as a real one seems very appealing
Nice work .
Looks great 👍
You mentioned the NC30 swingarm. Is it a bolt on unit or what did you have to do to get that to work?
no, i used parts from an nc30 swingarm( Hub and eccentric shaft and rear brake caliper), the actual swingarm is the original rc36-2 and the brake rotor is from the rc36-2 and the sprocket is from Tyga. Look up Tyga performance, they have all the in detail build using their products which I like, its all bolt on. Also join the rc30 replica community on facebook groups, they have of a lot of people doing builds and seen people used parts from ducati or special machine components to make it fit aswell. This method through tyga is pretty straight forward, a little pricey but worth it imo to not have any second guesses what else you would need to modify.
@@SunsetSpeedRGV I'm deep into my RC-30 conversion too. But finding a NC-30 eccentric is very hard. Unless you want to spend upwards of $300 for that one part. I've got Big One forks but that's a long term project. Are you on any other social media so i can share some pictures of the build?
@@18aprilia I had luck on up garage or grooober. I found the whole swingarm for right under 300 shipped and came with everything. You just have to look for something to pop up every now and then. And I have an Instagram. Just look up Abiel Pena Jr. I haven't posted yet on my VFR project yet on there but I wouldn't mind sharing on what I'm doing for my build. Hopefully it help on your endeavor as well lol
What made you want to use the RC36-2 frame and swing arm over the RC36-1 ?
Mechanically they are the same, but the rc36-2 frame has a different design where the rear sets go. The fairings and other parts from Tyga bolts right up to that frame. It more resembles the RC30 more if you have them side by side if that makes sense. That's why most people choose that frame over the 1st. I have seen people use the 36-1 but the look is a little off in my opinion and things really do need to be made custom one off parts for them since there isn't a company making parts for the 36-1 that I'm aware off. Where you thinking or currently working on one?
How did you get the front cowling to bolt up & the side fairings did you have to fabricate mounts?
@@2wheelTj not at all, fab work not needed. Tyga's kit includes the brackets. Their website also has the instructions. You could make your own, but fit and finish is great on their kit. I know in this vid I kinda slapped it together but I just painted the bike. I'm almost done and within a week or two I'll post the progress and I'll make sure to point the mounting on it. I also found the quick release d rings that you see on the upper to lower cowlings. If there's anything in particular you'd like me to point out on the next vid just let me know
@ okay I have a 1993 rc36-1 would it be similar if not the same? I’m converting it from a street fighter to full fairings so I basically have to start from square one & get all the plastics I just can’t find the stock front cowl
@ I just subscribed I’m looking forward to how it looks when everything is said & done.
@ I have the stock rc36-1 fairings if you want to get back to the normal look. where are you located?
