Humans. Historically, we've enslaved each other for so long, and now we're so lost that we are creating the very thing that could enslave us all. Such a good podcast guys. I'm usually the guy that goes down the rabbit hole, so to speak, in the conversations with my buddies. Thanks for the great content. Btw, I love being a dad. I have two (boy and girl), a stepson, and one in the oven! I have never felt so committed to being a protector and provider. I've been reading more this past year thanks to you and Jocko. As someone that is a “hacker” and has tactical experience, there is a book that was written probably about 15 years ago, that is so accurate and so relevant to what is happening today you definitely have to read it.

Two great dudes
I like keeping mechanical tools for both diesel and gasoline engines, I may not have everything overlanding at least I can repair vehicles, I even carry landscaping I can bust up asphalt roads with a sledgehammer to digging holes for punji traps and big holes to defeat apcs to carpentry tools in my pick up.
You guys should check out the documentary Maximum Overdrive, it came out in the 80’s, very telling!

to be fair the reason the flare took down at&t is the fact they have one of the oldest infrastructures in the us in regard to cellular networks. that could extend to greater internet connections but i haven't done research that far.

Great podcast fellas , what’s that intro / outro song
Long time Pfeiffer listener (9 years or more) - just curious as to where either Mike is in their walk with Christ? Maybe not the right platform or video for this, but I recall Pfeiffer as to being a Christian guy who spoke candidly about the Lord and his faith at times. In a time we’re in now, just wondering as to why God isn’t on the forefront of any prepper’s/father’s mind or lips and why not in all videos? Especially with the platform these two have. Sadly, I didn’t hear one mention in this video, but do hope their mindset is to really rely and rest in the Lord, always. That’s the only way we’re all gonna make any of this preparedness/family/life work.
Still great content and ideas from both gentlemen, and do look forward to further discussions from each on their own daily walk through life.

When I was a young kid and I was at school I walked into the teachers lounge and I was standing behind two lady teachers that were talking about How they are Trying to instill their morals and the children in their classroom and how it was so difficult because these children you know had to grow up by their parents for for long enough to wear they challenged with the teachers said and the teachers were talking about this and said it doesn't matter what the parents think what we're doing is for the greater good and And we should do whatever it takes to make sure we leave our mark on them when they figured out that I was standing right behind them they were not happy about it I've heard the exact same statement a number of times since throughout my years in school and I developed a very poor attitude about who teachers were i've seen this coming the brainwashing and the indoctrinating i've seen this coming for since I was in high school and that has I graduated in 86 It literally molded my life to make sure that everything I did was to challenge that opinion especially here in America we are not a greater good country are we turning out to be one now but we are the rights of the individual country and that's why it's not taught in schools anymore I know I am 100% correct when I say that everything started with the teachers indoctrinating children and really it started right before that when they launched a huge campaign against bullies bullies were probably the most important part of school because what it did was created a pecking order of sorts they could never attack a child's gender or sexuality with bullies in the school because the bullies beat the kids up so they couldn't have it they had to get rid of the bullies and then start teaching the kids how to be homos And that was just a start of course they had the help of Oprah giving women the courage to be feminists and support that well not support themselves but get a job at least or something like that or turn their boss in for sexual harassment or divorce their husband and get child support so destroy the kids and break the home first two steps and those happen in the same decade
You are dissecting some of the little ways that Satan is destroying this country and he will the good book says it’s not going to end well unfortunately

Question I've had on AI is once the genie is out of the bottle, is there a way to put it back? Say the worst happens and Skynet becomes a thing and is on the internet....if there really a way to scrub that from the internet? Humans never seem to learn from their mistakes, but I have hope that we realize the future problems AI can cause before its to late.
For those that believe I'm overly concerned. Remember when the internet was heralded as the greatest thing because we would now have the ability to talk with anyone on the planet and generally give the knowledge of mankind to everyone, making us smart and wiser. How well has everyone having access to the internet and social media programs worked out for us?

The biggest danger with AI are humans.. not AI.. The biggest danger with AI, is when the cops are AI. When police are robots. When the entire everything is run by AI. Especially if it's crap AI.. like think automated phone systems.. Think of how many times what they have thought out and thought through doesn't work for 30% of people and you need to speak to a human to solve your problem. Well too bad, it's going to be you scan your ID card card or whatever and if the thing is broken or doesn't work.. You don't get food or you don't get whatever it is..
Or if there's some kind of mistake and an AI comes after you because someone made a mistake or you've been mistaken for someone else due to a clerical error or some crazy shit.. You can't talk with a robot and be like "hey I think they made a mistake" and reason with it.
You can try this with Chat GPT right now... If it gets something wrong, try to reason with it.. Tell it "hey this is a mistake" ... It CANNOT exceed its programming it was like "Oh.. I see. I apologize that I got this wrong, here is the correct version" and then it's THE SAME THING and you can go in a loop forever and it will continue to lie and then say the same thing because it's not a person.
A I. computes faster than Dr. Strange in the Multiverse. 😎....

I don't think AI is creative. AI steals from human artists.. I have had AI generate future city scapes and then when I rewatched Star Trek The Next Generation I realized the AI just completely stole half of them from there.. Whenever you see the city scapes of planets they're visiting.
And AI also cannot write things very well unless they have a human tell them what to do every step of the way with incredible detail.
That's why you can't just have Chat GPT writing your ad copy .. That's also why when I've had Chat GPT write headlines for me or search engine meta description and I upload it to get feedback from fellow students etc. they're like "I can tell you used Chat GPT but that's ok."
You can tell Chat GPT wrote it because it's bad and predictable and not good writing. It only becomes good writing when you engineer the prompt with such precision.
AI is a tool for humans. It is not REALLY intelligence, and that's why it's artificial intelligence.
I don't buy any of the doom & gloom about it. Even in Star Trek the Star Trek computer has problems with certain things if you don't say it the right way.. and it's the same with Chat GPT and all of them.. You have to say it EXACTLY the way it's expecting it or it doesn't work.
