For the first time since the 2011 rangers broke 11 year old me's heart in the world series. We are back. I'm so happy, I cried at work when we punched our ticket.
The Astros are not a dynasty 1 real championship in 2022. It’s not impressive constantly making to the semifinals or final and consistently come up short. The Giants were a legit dynasty winning 3 championships every other year.
@@texan1406 I would say no. They cheated against my Mariners and the Yankees in last season. So I say go Texas for beating the Astros even with them cheating.
@FlippinBatsPod just because the MLB is spineless and doesn't take away unearned championships doesn't mean anyone else is going to actually accept the cheating ass astros has having won 2.
It's time for the Astros to do some retooling. It starts right now. They need to be active in the free agent market, and they will also need to make a blockbuster trade for seasoned vets and possibly a few prospects to fortify the farm system. If things are this bad at MMP, then perhaps, change is the very thing the Astros need at this time.
You never know if a certain manager was available and/or willing when franchises look for and decide on a new manager but you have wonder if the Mets are kicking themselves that somehow they thought Buck Showalter was the manager for the job. Especially when Bruce Bochy was out there. I wouldn't be surprised if they did think of him and decided on Buck. That's a very "Mets" thing to do.
We will never forget Game 5. That game was the best of all the ones played in this ALCS. My Astros came back late and answered the Rangers' big hits (not to mention one hit batter). Regardless of who's side you're on, that Game 5 should be ingrained in many baseball minds for years to come. That was one for the ages.
First of all, hats off to the Rangers for putting together a lineup that's built for the postseason. They are all set with that. All they need now is shore up their bullpen. Secondly, as for Dusty Baker, thanks for some great major league moments. It's really time for him to retire. It's time for Joe Espada to move up and prove something as a major league manager.
As the saying goes. "Stats don't lie". The Astros had the worst home record of all the mlb playoff teams. And you can't blame injuries. They were swept several times during the season at home by 100 and 90 game losers. Just this series they probably left over 30+ in scoring position. The 1st 2 games at home they probably left at least 12 men in scoring position. And the problem caught up with them. A team that can hit at home and those were wins. The pitching was not overpowering. They just couldn't score. Crane is the best owner the Astros has ever had. That problem wont exist very long.
Calling the Rangers “little brother” is silly. The Lone Star series is pretty damn competitive all time. I think the rangers may have a slight edge over the Astros as well. This isn’t like Texas vs Texas aTm were the head to head gap is huge.
You mean the way the Asterisks choked away home field. Again. Only team in history to lose a 7 game series by losing every game at home. Twice. I guess the team hates their fans as much as everyone else. Bye Felicia. 👋🏼👋🏼
my prediction before this series and thruout that texas would prevail, and that both c.seager and a.garcia(despite being a jackazz) would be involved in homerun derbies -was spot on big ben!
I still don’t understand what Garcia did besides getting intentionally hit by the pitch. Oh maybe he’s a Jackazz for the hurting he put on the Asstros.
Don’t care what Abreu did in the postseason, he was a negative value player this year. He was bad and that was a bad signing, they had a good farm system before this but now they don’t and their free agent moves haven been awful

Same here. I believe we were 1 out away from winning that WS when our hearts were torn apart. I don't think I can handle another one of those.
@@managua-san8075forget one out. It was literally one STRIKE away when the Rangers broke the heart of 14 year old me
@@krbay1019 you're right. Had to pop in that dvd and rewatch again. Yeah thought we had it in the bag. Been a rangers fan since 85
Not really a fan of the rangers but I was hoping they'd win.

My thoughts exactly. 1 real title in their entire existence.
I have been calling them the Houston Asterisks ever since.
Is it really even 1 real championship considering they built their playoff experience on stolen success?
Agree

Hmmm, I guess the Astros weren't inevitable... Ben, please never use that phrase again, for any team in any sport. It's just a poor choice of words.
Someone said it
Thank god

Won by a touchdown and the extra point.
This was a great series filled with highs and lows.
Man this dude really banged the trash can for the Astros “dynasty”
Based. Good stuff. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ben, Rangers have defeated Philly 12 consecutive times. That’s unreal.
WOW
Absolutely fantastic coverage.
Ben was very cool though I think his love for Justin and his respect for this dynasty was apparent.
Thank you Ben for the coverage and reporting, i enjoy watching your show. Go Rangers 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Our pleasure!

More like inevitability losing at home again.

Well - one team has been to 4 WS in the last 6 years and won 2 WS. So it's not that silly.

Let's face it - a lot of us are tired of the Astros. Good riddance. Go Rangers - and with Bochy as manager you're in good hands.
