your channel has IMMEDIATELY become an invaluable pick for one of the few gaming channels I still choose to follow as I decide to focus more on productivity/educational TH-cam for leisure. The insights and explanations you provide help to break down what’s going on in the pro scene better than anyone else has ever come close to. I’ve been following competitive Apex for years now as a very low skilled player as I more so enjoy watching high tier players than trying to be one and your commentary helps immeasurably in understanding the nuance of tournament games that I could never pick up on being a “retired” casual player. Thank you so much for deciding to start your channel, I’ve already shared it with every friend I have who I know enjoys esports at all regardless of if they follow Apex or not. This channel is truly one of a kind and I cannot wait to see where you this channel goes. I can even picture Respawn contracting you to give post-game recaps during ALGS to help less in the know players who still passionately love the game understand the nuance of what took place in each game, if you’d consider the analytical skills you show off in your videos something you could translate to a more close to improvised format hahaha
I'm not a guy that watches every ALGS, so like not a die-hard e-sport scene enthousiast, but bro, once I launched your video I could not stop watching it. Amazing job, and also relevant and documented. You're not just spewing your opinion without showing us the facts. You did your homework. Congrats!
gosh it hurts to re-hear some of the arguements, I caught some of them when other pros were re-watching them die on comp days. I completely agree they are all such good players. Unfortunate. Great animations on this video, etc. Thanks.
I feel like snipe and alb simply cannot play on the same team tho, their calls were absolute dogshit together, constant countercalling and useless bickering cluttering the comms, while slurp was genuinely trying to do his best and analyzing his own mistakes instead of getting mad. Especially on the epi push clip. Snipe and alb seem to just rile each other up somehow..
Yeah honestly we might believe we are good as igls or think pros who are not igl might be good as igls but the reality is igls like hal are far more superior in their ability to lead and capable making many team compositions work.
A team could have all the talent in the world, but if your igl is not up to par, the talent is wasted. This video shows that in order to be successful, you need an intelligent/ experienced igl.
I would definitely watch even longer content, I'd rather you take as much time to cover all points than trying to rush or leaving things out. You have great insights and a fantastic way of communicating those. Big props, keep doing you!
I love Snipe and Alb but this Faze roster was a disappointment to say the least. I hope all three players find their place with teams that fit them. At the end of the day, this Faze teaches us that. the most valuable player/role in the game is the IGL. no matter how good you are as a Fragger. if you're 3 stacking fraggers is not going to end up well in the end. When it comes to the High play matches, you're not playing Apex anymore. it's turn out to be a chess game. It's really cool watching Hal, Sweet, Noc, etc perfectly reading their opponent's next step.
Yeah as crazy as a team might be, without a top tier decision maker who can not only make the right calls but earn the trust of his teammates, you'll fail. Gotta have that first and foremost
When watching a FPS, it's rare the word "trickling" comes to mind from my MOBA days. It's hard to ruin gamesense to the level of MOBA terms coming into play
Hearing alb's rage on comms made me think it was c9 all over again. maybe i'm misremembering but i seem to recall they actually managed to fix their team chemistry somewhat back in the day, kinda sad to see him falling into the same routine
Exactly albs problem on TSM. Thought he knew it all, Hal had to show who was the igl multiple times.. he was a cancer to the team and any other team he’ll be on. Blames his teammates on all of his mistakes

To my view, FaZe is just playing ALGS like a normal rank game, they weren't alert of the enemy's movement and cognition, especially when the slow rotation allowed them to be totally exposed in the open field, they are more doomed then ever.

Great fucking vid. The script felt tight (only mention it because I saw your post) and I think as long as you can keep that flow the length of the video won’t have a negative impact. Also appreciate how you framed everything and letting the plays breathe so we can get a lot more context as opposed to just seeing a 30 second clip where they die or wipe.
Appreciate it! Glad someone noticed the clip thing. I had thought about cutting them up but really felt like when I watch videos that do that it feels like they cut it up to fit their narratives. So I really wanted the clips to speak for themselves and then it feel like I just reinforced what happened
this video didnt even feel like a 35 min video its genuinely entertaining and I feel like apex lacks videos like this going in depth on pro play and breaking down gameplay while also making it interesting because there is some story to follow and not just a mindless gameplay breakdown Good video
This played out exactly as described in the Reddit Post "FaZe Apex Fandom thread (PREMIUM analysis inside)" "All 3 players are tremendously talented and the potential upside of the team is as high as Zach's hairline. In an ideal result, Mac's creativity and unique gamesense will allow them to make galaxy brain, unpredictable plays, being executed by 2 of the best controller players in the game. The potential for danger, is that Mac fails to articulate a 50 step plan in 0.5 seconds, so snip3 just starts fucking dudes and slurpeeg spins in circles with his wingman trying to figure out what hes supposed to be doing."
Albralelie trying so hard to be Hal he become all of hals worst characteristics. Hal is such a good igl, he is intense, but hal will take feedback so well and implement on the fly. Al just gotta stay as a gunner.
I’ve watched all of ya vids so far, you came up on my suggestions cuz I watch all the ALGS content I can. And I gotta say man, definitely some of my favorite content on apex. Real thought out breakdowns, of not only the blatant issues and red flags, but the often overlooked and unspoken key factors and moments in comp play. Keep it my g!
What went wrong? Enlarged egos (Albralelie) that’s what went wrong. Bro wants to be the best igl there ever was and he hates when you remind him he’s a better fragger.
At the end of the day long term success with Mac is always going to be short lived. He wants to be IGl and he's not good enough to be IGL and his personality means he is inevitably have his emotions boil over.
great video! I didn't expect to actually watch the whole thing but you got me. Don't be afraid to go longer as long as you're still making good points and it doesn't become an hour long reiteration of the same points over and over or rambling.
I really appreciate the breakdowns and analyzing of in-game comms, it's nice that you allow the situations to play out and save the commentary for before or after. Subscribed.
I delayed watching this video because I wasn't in the mood for a long vid, saw it again on reddit and figured f it, after about 5 mins I was more than interested. Really enjoyed the quality and your breakdown of the team, wouldn't even have minded if it was longer haha. Looking forward to future vids!
Great content, man. Definitely would be down for even longer videos. You don't really see anyone else making deep pro analysis content like this and I'm down to go even deeper. I had my eye on Faze when they got together as I was curious how Mac was going to perform as IGL and it went about as well as expected, honestly. Mac's a pretty good ring predicter. When I watched him on C9, he was usually very good at being able to tell where the ring was pulling, and he's an even better fragger, but, yeah, strict IGLing isn't really his strong suit, and you could already see that with C9 considering how much he'd argue with Zach all of the time. Honestly, Snipe felt a little like Zach 2.0 for Alb in some ways. (with Slurp literally being Naughty in the 'just give me clear instructions on what to do' energy that they both give off, lol) I hope the best for all 3 players though.
I just don't think Mac should be an IGL. Hearing his calls compared to top IGLs like Hal or Sweet is so different and lacks the foresight of how fights and rotations will develop.
I dont even think Albralelie has the traids of a IGL . He has no consideration of the team as a unit and only thinks of him self in isolation . I think Slurp just got so much pressure on him and is confused what the plane even is that when it matters its like a zone out moment .
Alb is not an IGL, never was nor ever he could be. Snipe is good but he cant be IGL either. Slurp is lost poor kid, it's not really his fault. The team wasnt functioning properly but the kid has skills. btw this video length is good for your content, no need to shorten it.
As an apex legends fans, i would highly love this long video.. since the community going downhill.. the remaining community like me personally love it as to make the community live up to it..
The quality just keeps improving with each video, great work my man ! And since you made a community post about it and everyone in the comments is talking about it, personally, I'd prefer 25-40 minute videos when talking about a single team (or person, if you ever make a video like that), it just hits that sweet spot of getting to be detailed about it and keeping people interested. But if the topic of the video is something like the history of algs or an entire region, then I'd totally be down to watch 1-2 hours of that. Definitely love you taking feedback from people and adjusting based off that, Cheers and looking forward to future banger content. P.S For the watch party thing, if it's on youtube I'd most likely be one of your viewers mainly depending on time difference, but there is one thing that's bugging me about the idea though, is it just gonna be a watch-along, because that'd be no different from watching it on your own, my suggestion if ever for that is chat interaction between matches.
If I did stream a watch party then I’d throw up a face cam, probably try and get a few of my friends who watch ALGS to hop in a call with me, and yeah interact with chat throughout the games. I’ve never streamed before though so I gotta figure out some logistics before I could commit to it
Just found your channel on my feed and this was honestly wonderful to watch. I love how you call out the plays that were being made, decision making from the team and unorganized team work. Definitely a sub! 🎉
Glad to be on that small percentage of subs, you really deserve it. Also, great video, idc how long it is, since your work is excellent getting as much details as needed. Looking foward for more apex pro scene videos, keep the good work!
I just came across randomly and I dont even play apex or care for it. However I've watched the vid all the way through and I'll sub. Just wanted you to know your video was very good at holding my attention even if I ddon't really know much about apex. Good job.
Truly a great video, really good analysis and breakdown. Great job! For me such long videos are better than shorter ones, because u can put much more interesting information and analysis. So I will be glad to watch even 1-2 hours video. And I have a question: is there any possibility that you will make breakdown video for teams for other regions? I suppose EMEA ("my" regions) can tell us ton of good and interesting stories. For example CIS team GG (ex-Gambit) was dominating through half of the past year, having 1 and 2 places of pro league, 3 on regional playoffs. And now they are barely stay in pro league making 22 place. Can be a good source for video about what went wrong and interesting to see at least for me Anyway you did a great job in this video, got my subscription!
So it goes without saying in team scenarios like these, no one is without fault, and despite Slurps underwhelming performance I’d overall chalk this up to Alb making mostly bad calls as IGL. That bad decision making in crucial moments led to the team feeling it was necessary to call their own shots.
Yes and no. Snipe even counter called Hal back on TSM so only blaming Alb here doesn’t tell the full story. I didn’t know this either at time of making the video but Alb explained that there was a lot of clashing behind the scenes on the play styles they wanted to play which hurt his ability to effectively game plan
@@AyeJHawk interesting , I appreciate the response man, also you made a wonderful video and I enjoyed the content. Looking forward to more of what you put out !

Thanks! I got more on the way!
im happy to finally see some competitive Apex on TH-cam. Keep up the good work. Hopefully we can see some tips for playing competitive Apex as well!
Ever since I saw your three other vids, I’ve been waiting for this one!
Quality content.
Wow, thanks!
Sounds like Al has taken a page out of Hal's book and not giving proper comms.
What went wrong? Enlarged egos (Albralelie) that’s what went wrong. Bro wants to be the best igl there ever was and he hates when you remind him he’s a better fragger.
Another excellent well thought out video! Longer vids are great as long as the quality is like this!
Glad you like them!
I appreciate that!
I really appreciate the breakdowns and analyzing of in-game comms, it's nice that you allow the situations to play out and save the commentary for before or after. Subscribed.
Thanks for that. I appreciate the sub!
I delayed watching this video because I wasn't in the mood for a long vid, saw it again on reddit and figured f it, after about 5 mins I was more than interested. Really enjoyed the quality and your breakdown of the team, wouldn't even have minded if it was longer haha. Looking forward to future vids!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i dont want short vids man, like educate me with some documentaries! but deadass im learning so much from this so good shit my man
I’ll probably do a mix of both. But when I got a lot of say I’ll definitely make sure to get it all out
dude your videos are so well put together, the music, commentary, choice of wording. it’s a masterpiece
I appreciate it!
Nice work JHawk, these summary videos are really good and interesting
Oh, and don’t ever apologize for a long video!
The quality of your video really amazes me man. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoyed the comment! Definitely agree on some of those comparison with C9
Bro I don't care if your video was a day long I would watch it, this video really showed and taught me a lot of things I don't see watching ALGS
A 24 hour video would be crazy 🤣
I just don't think Mac should be an IGL. Hearing his calls compared to top IGLs like Hal or Sweet is so different and lacks the foresight of how fights and rotations will develop.
These videos are so interesting. I would never know the little details without it. Excellent job dude.
Glad you like them!
what i love about ur videos (apart from them being really good in general) is that you are using the old apex soundtrack
Apex has so much awesome music I feel like it would be a crime to not take advantage of it
This is such a great video. It gives great context to all the specific problems and situations that happened
Great breakdown, with Alb switching to roller as well its even further inconsistency in his playstyle. I think LAN falls fast on this.
This is such a very well made video for a channel of you size, keep up the good work!!
Thanks a ton!
I’ve never heard of Apex and thought this was a true crime video essay.
🤣
Ur analysis is so in-depth dad. I freaking love this channel and I hope it blows up. Here at 4.8k subs, I’ll be back at 1 million ❤
There‘s a reason Alb is never kept in a team…
can’t understand why people still let him shot call!
I dont even think Albralelie has the traids of a IGL . He has no consideration of the team as a unit and only thinks of him self in isolation . I think Slurp just got so much pressure on him and is confused what the plane even is that when it matters its like a zone out moment .
Glad to see someone making videos in this space. Love watching algs but there’s no good content surrounding it. Til now! Keep it up mate
More to come!
Alb is not an IGL, never was nor ever he could be.
Snipe is good but he cant be IGL either.
Slurp is lost poor kid, it's not really his fault. The team wasnt functioning properly but the kid has skills.
btw this video length is good for your content, no need to shorten it.
Too all the viewers that are watching without subbing you guys are gonna miss out on some banger vids, this guy ain't your average Ytber
Found you off the comp apex subreddit and i love your videos! super high quality work!
Thanks! Glad the Reddit posts are working
As an apex legends fans, i would highly love this long video.. since the community going downhill.. the remaining community like me personally love it as to make the community live up to it..
I think the community is still going strong. If respawn can fix the ranked system soon I think we can see Apex rebound in a big way
Holy ... you won a sub, this is awesome. The amount of research that goes into this.
Thanks for the sub!
Kinda funny how Snipe mentioned that Hal would’ve screamed at them if they gave up positioning for a gold R-99
And he’s right! This TSM video tomorrow shows how often Hal tells his team to forget about loot!
Thanks for the sub Daniel!
best video yet mr.hawk, keep up the work im expecting bangers after LAN
Thanks!
Alb and Snipe arguing was rough to listen to. Amazing editing and such a great video.
Glad you liked it. Definitely rough to listen too. Hope both of them find a team that fits them next
Another great video! It is a testament to their talent given how well they did, considering all the communication/team identity issues they had.
Yeah if I just showed the comms and the changes people would think this team got relegated for sure. The fact they didn’t is an accomplishment 100%
This was fascinating to watch, thank you for making it so well-edited. Have never seen high level play analyzed in format this easy to follow.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad to be on that small percentage of subs, you really deserve it.
Also, great video, idc how long it is, since your work is excellent getting as much details as needed.
Looking foward for more apex pro scene videos, keep the good work!
Appreciate it!
this is the video that put the nail on the coffin of me being 50-50 about subbing to this channel. u got a +1 today
Glad I could persuade you!
The quality of your Apex videos is incredibly good. Your channel is really underrated JHawk. Can't wait for the next video.
Thanks!
I just came across randomly and I dont even play apex or care for it. However I've watched the vid all the way through and I'll sub. Just wanted you to know your video was very good at holding my attention even if I ddon't really know much about apex. Good job.
It’s a sick esport, you should give it a watch sometime! Super exciting!
Can be a good source for video about what went wrong and interesting to see at least for me
Anyway you did a great job in this video, got my subscription!
I definitely want to try and expand to other regions soon
Just so you know, I'm Brazilian and I can watch this video without any problem because it's very informative and well organized. Keep it up bro!
Thanks so much!
@@FearWarboar4135 thanks for watching!
I've binged all of your videos so far, you are incredible !!!
Appreciate that! Glad you liked them all!
Dude, your videos are awesome and super interesting!! Please do more! I will see them even if they last an hour!
Glad you like them!
Great ALGS content, I think this video was one of the highest quality Apex videos I've seen.
Wow, thanks!
Hands down one of the best comp apex channels, no one is doing it like you. Im very engaged the entire video, huge thumbs up.
Glad you enjoy it!
first vid, and this was a really solid watch!! can't wait to binge all the others :)
Hope you enjoy them all!
As the IGL of my rfiends whenever we play valorant, this stresses me out so much that they shout at each other.
Thank you for the amazing content!!
We need updated drama! Jhawk.
Even Hal never said shut up to his team in game
LAN watch party LFG
Yeah Hal only says stuff like that to get comms clear so he can hear stuff or make a quick call. But in terms of the ideas the team proposes he is usually always open to hearing it out
You just gained a sub, good sir! Making these must take hours - or days - so kudos to you and the great content
Thanks for the sub!
