Prepping for our first family trip to our off grid remote cabin in Alaska! Building our homemade enclosed dog sled to transport our pups out to the cabin! Plus we're starting our chicken coop build this week. We have 25 Alaska hardy chicks being delivered this month so we've got to get a coop built to protect them from the cold winter temps! I'm 78 now and which hammer my late husband used to work on any of his many projects over our life together is not even a distant memory! Luckily they have only been charging $3.00 a dozen not to bad. Glad your having a blast with the snow machines looks like fun. What a good healthy life you guys are living. I love it that the ball peen hammer came back out for this build. I would have done the same thing.
Tina, handguard shields for the snowmobile will help. You can buy them, but we just made from plastic jugs. Milk jugs too thin, soap jugs are better. Good Luck!

Something you might want consider for that remote cabin and that well. With that flow and that amount of drop, you could have a little Hydroelectric setup. Should be enough to charge a battery or two and there are no worries about day/night or weather effecting it. Several ways to create and without spending a lot of $$$. Plenty of examples online. Cheers!
