Ok now I'm hooked to this channel studying the scores... This guy is GOOD! This channel needs more subs/credit!
Hi! Congratulations on this composition! Wonderfully done... quick question, which plugin do you use to get such a perfect room sound?
hi, thanks for the awesome music and video. I have a question and hope you'll be able to answer it : do you first write out score on Finale or Sibelius, and then are able to import the score onto a daw and have it played by different plug ins, or how do you connect such a beautiful and precise score with other sounds than finale or sibelius ? I always thought you had to write the full score, and then, part after part, had to play it onto your daw...
I would really enjoy to watch a orchestra playing
Great build-up, Karl, with a lush orchestration. Very traditionally Christmassy in the best way. I really enjoyed listening to this.
Thank you, Tony! Much appreciated.
Amazing piece! More! More! Bis! Bis!
Wow incredible job! ❤ what reverb do you use ?
This really is so christmas-y and grand, a very cinematic piece!! Danke fuer der Shiff
So beautiful! Love this! Wonderful composition and arrangement!
Very cinematic. Love it, good job!
This is honestly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard, and I'm more than grateful to be recommended this gem. The MIDI programming is absolutely stellar, and feels like its played by a real performance. Great job!
Ach, herrlich! Deine traditionelle Kompositionskunst wärmt die Seele in all dem modernen Gelärme.
Gorgeous! Wonderful mockup too.
FANTASTIC!
Thank you!
It's wonderful ! And thank you for sharing the score.
Thank you!
Nice job! , I'm really intrigued in the mixing/processing aspect of your mockups, is it possible to go into detail in a video?
Thank you, Philip! I might do a walkthrough at some point. Most of the processing is done using EQ, mainly cutting low mid frequencies to prevent muddiness.
Can't stop listening! :D
Thank you, Rico! Glad you’re liking it. 😊
Fantastic! I'm your fan, I'm truly inspired.
Thank you! It means a lot to me that someone feels inspired by my music. Thanks for reaching out!
It's excellent, Karl ! Music full of emotion 👍
Thank you, Tanguy!
Sehr schön!
Absolutely fantastic!!
Thank you, Simon!
Stunning work! If I had the talent, this is what I'd aspire to write.
Thank you very much!
the mockup and balance are so nice, really love it!
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Very nicely done!
Magnifique !
Thank you, Rajo! I hope your are well and still making beautiful music.
Nice work and sample programming
Thank you, Scott!
Very well done.
Thank you!
Beautiful ... well done
Thank you, Jack!
Awesome!
Thank you!
@@karlaskmusic You're welcome!
Incredible job!! What do you think about the harp that comes with Pacific Strings? I think it might fit really nice in this texture
Thank you, Logan! Actually I haven't really used the harp in Pacific Strings, but I should definitely check it out!
How do you handle the logistics of playing in each part? Do you print the score and play from that? Everything for me starts (and currently ends) in Dorico but I'd be willing to invest the time of playing parts in some pieces if I could figure out how to deal with situating the charts. It's a dumb problem but that's my blocker.
I split the screen so that I have Dorico on one half and the DAW on the other. I play from the parts rather than the score so that I can display more of each part at a time. I hope this helps!
@@karlaskmusic that helps a lot. Thank you
What program do you use for this project? I'm new to the DAWs ...and learning fast!
He's using Logic X Pro (Available for Mac OS only)
@@avinashkhandre0321 thanks!!
@@avinashkhandre0321 Quick question for you. Do you find FL Studio 21 good?
@@erndog64 FL Studio is my first and favourite DAW, I used many DAWs but FL Studio is something else, for orchestral stuff even (search Alex Moukala Tutorials on TH-cam and you'll see the Power of FL Studio)
Hey I wanted to get into scoring my music using sheet, do you score it in sheet and then afterwards edit the midi in a daw? sounds amazing btw
Thank you, Robin! I usually first sketch on paper (lead sheet style) and then do the orchestration in Dorico. I sometimes mock up a section in Logic right after I've finished orchestrating it, and sometimes I do the mockup only after I've finished orchestrating the whole piece. Either way, I always play the different parts into the DAW rather than importing MIDI from Dorico.
Who needs real performing musicians anymore, unless it comes time to sample them. - just kidding
Amazing piece! More! More! Bis! Bis!
