Hi, I am happy that you learned something from my videos. Thank you very much. How old are your Aloe vera pups? It may take a while for the plant to grow specially if they are separated from the mother plant when they are still small. Also, it may take about six months before you can see significant growth in Aloe vera. :)
You can use any type of soil, except clay type soil. But it is better if you use loam sandy soil. You can also make your own soil like this one th-cam.com/video/6vWOFJtinmw/w-d-xo.html
I placed it in partially shaded area for convenience in taking videos and monitoring growth, but I have done this also in full sun before, I just didn't take videos of it.

I feel sad too every time it happened to my plants even though I still have so many left in the garden. Based on my experience, Aloe Vera rotting often happens during wet season, though sometimes (rarely) it will also happen during dry season. But it doesn't mean it is caused by water. Aloe has over 400 species and I think some aloes are so different than others. That is why aloe soil doesn't work on all aloes, I guess. Most aloes - the smaller ones are treated similarly with other succulents given aloe soil. Some bigger aloes are planted in their yards as ornamental, growing and thriving on ordinary soil. Aloe Vera is cultivated in farms by hectares, I don't believe they are given aloe soil. While it is ok to use aloe soil, just avoid using compost soil for now to be safe. Ordinary soil will do. Aloe Vera is not very picky when it comes to soil. Plant a new Aloe Vera again.

Air drying stops the rotting to infect the healthy part and accelerate the rotting of the infected part.

My stump always rot while doing this method, why?? I never propagated any pup while trying for 5 to 6 times, please help me out.
I think it has something to do with the soil moisture. I will make a video planting like this one but on different soil condition and environment.
I will be very greatful to you and thankyou for the answer.
Can we use sand for this method??
@@monotoshbhattacharjee137 I haven't done it yet on pure sand.

Mine is Aloe Barbadensis Miller or the true Aloe Vera variety. This is the edible Aloe Vera. Yours must by another Aloe variety, or maybe it just need more caring. Thank you very much for watching.
