What about the tech stack to use? For instance, if it says Html,Css,JS would using something like React + tailwind css be acceptable? I feel like React + Firebase would be useful if its just a simple website.
great content btw! Im currently searching for junior dev role and its been tough. So I'm looking into doing some freelance work. I feel like I should be able to take on some of the tasks, with over 6+ years of programming/web dev especially in React + Node.
your clients don't care about that, learn what allows you to fill the needs of most companies as easily as possible. Most companies either need wordpress website updates, a new site or a new online store. Most websites that need updates that are not made on wordpress run on PHP. I suggest you learn the technologies that were used the most in the last 15 years so you can perform the website update contracts (almost half of the jobs you could get)
@@AlecG Thanks! Great content btw Future video request: I think it would be really cool if you did like a mock upwork web dev job. This would be helpful for newbies to see the workflow because i think lot of us are just nervous lol. I think I can create something that works...but then keep second guessing with questions like is it following best practices, unit tests, maintnable, scaleable etc esp. coming from a SWE internship experience.
@@ScarSixMusicyeah, thats riddiculous and almost laughable. The video is just a demonstration, I noticed it while filming but I did not want to waste time looking for other jobs because I know you guys are capable of doing that. It is a very bad job, lets be real about it 🤣

Thank you, I will
Is upwork still viable path to start as a dev as a European when there are so much people from cheap third world countries present there?
