It's interesting, as a non-equestrian, to see how many little things a horse will spook at. It makes me realize how riding a horse is not always easy.
It's never easy :( But I love it!!
Riding is never easy sadly, after my 6 years of riding, I still have a lot to learn! And I once had a horse that spooked by a tiny dog and I was thrown off, but I still got back on!!!!!
It's not THAT many things. In fact, horses are only afraid of two things: things that move and things that don't move.
They will literally spook at a leaf and then if a parade of little kids come charging past the arena they don’t flinch

The horse I ride, Moon gets spooked at the littlest things. Like a train? "Oh it's fine." But a weirdly shaped rock? "Oh no its gonna kill me!"
I remember seeing a show about horses in London and I think they belonged to the Queen? They were getting ready for a big event anyway, there was this one horse and it's rider who said their horse was fine with the big double decker busses but would get spooked at benches.
Big smelly red bus? No bother. Benches? That's the devil's work!

Can't help but absolutely adore D. I really like horses that stand still when they spook. It's such a safe spook, instead of the horses that like to bolt for it.
yeah his spooks are pretty safe unless he really wants to get you off.. whereas maddie just stops & runs in the other direction usually if she’s by herself xx
My Horse has pretty safe spooks but if he does want to get you off. He will go up and does this weird twisting motion which has almost got me out of the saddle

Seeing the horses stop so close behind one another scares me so much lol. The pony at our stables absolutely hates the horse I ride with a burning passion so we have to leave like a 5 mile radius between us and him lol

Lmao I can relate. I used to ride this pony that kicked at anything that came near his butt (although he didn't mind brushing or picking his hooves up, little weirdo). He was always placed last in line when going on trail rides, just to be safe 😂

Its becouse Horses cant see how deep the water is, so it is scary if you go anywhere and there is a bit of water und you cant see how deep it is if you will drunk and die or if it is just normal nothing bad

Horses have no problems crossing water on their own, but let someone be riding or leading them, and it suddenly becomes a gateway to Hell!!
Some horses actually love it. My friend Eva has a horse named Apollo and when he sees water he goes in full speed. He literally goes deep enough where Apollo is swimming and stays there. It’s hard to get him out of water!

On most trails in the states, everyone has to yield to horses. Bikers have to stop and move aside, as do hikers. There are signs on trails that give instructions.

When they went near the fence it reminded me of a time I was riding and my horse decided the branches were to close to her so she walked to far to the side and my leg got squished in between the fence 😅 it wasn’t fun

Isn't it weird some of the things horses will spook at? In west Texas, our horses spend most of their time in a pasture with rabbits, doves, quail, all manner of critters that fly or dart out of the brush, so they're used to it--but put a saddle on and it's "Katy bar the door!" LOL, but one year we rode in a parade where the parade route goes under a railroad track. As fate would have it, a train decided to come past while we were in the underpass. My horse tensed and I just knew she was gonna go ballistic, but instead she squatted and froze--then calmly walked off. Whew, what a relief. Goofy thing, LOL. Nice horses ladies, that looked like a fun ride!
I really enjoy theses vids because I 1 can’t ride anymore and 2 which is probably the more relevant issues is I was never that good at riding but these do give you such a life like experience

I went on a horse back safari for my honeymoon. Horse fine stood meters away from a lion chilling on a rock. Sees a log, shits itself 😂
Our horse would have been all over the place at the bikes, so far cyclists have been amazing when I've asked them to stop until I pass, it makes life so much easier until he gets the hang of bikes are ok . We are not so bad with the cows now 🙄🙈😆
