I'm blown away. He's really intelligent and extremely well spoken. I'm talking way above average. I could see that in the first Breakin' even with his character that he was wise well beyond his years and that it came from him personally and not his character. Remember when he was talking to the old ladies at the fancy party and he says "We can't leave know, these ladies and I are talking about a 3 picture deal." That was intelligence above his character of a street kid. He's something else.
Michael chambers was a huge influence on my childhood and an inspiration to me .His influence on dance and urban dance is without peer. This interview is brilliant ! Thank you Mr. Chambers and drstevensh for uploading this interview! God bless!
Thank you for sharing! I love Mr Chambers! He is truly one of the greats! Electric Bugaloo favorite movie! I have my children watching it right now! They love it! No cussing, no guns, no violence! Love it!
This is truly classic stuff, an interview with a legend of urban dance! Man this is bombastic, God bless the entire cast of Breakin (and Beat Street). Thanks Drstevensh. immensely
Beauty Secret I was 12 when Breakin' hit the theaters. In the downtown movie theater me and my friends were inside of went wild. The broom scene had everybody out of their seats. I remember it as if it was yesterday. GREAT MEMORIES for me👍🏾
Michael, you marked my youth with your fantastic dances, in Italy, Rome, where I was living. I was 10 and for more than 15 years I tried to dance thinking of you. Great performer! thank you so much for your huge contribution to the breakdance and the dance in general
intelligent guy who even took over the conversation from the dj! no: "ahh yeah im doin this shit you know what im sayin' pimpin that shit, sippin' on that drank ( :) )" the black community need more like him, sadly it doesnt seem to be happening
I've always admired you and how you dance. I came up much the same way you came up, just in Detroit, around the same time. I love dancing myself. Here in Detroit, we do Footwork (Jitting), which itself developed from pop-locking. Keep up the good work, my Brother. I know I'm proud of you and your success.
He's one of my all time favorite guys along with Mj, Hammer, CrazyLeggs and everybody else who got down and boogied! I'll bet this guy is a lil better now than he was back then, just base on wisdom acquired through the years! Thanks for the moves that provided the memories!
As a big R&B fan, I was watching some youtube videos of old Soul Train clips and caught some of Shabba Doo's work. Got me to do a little more research on him and came across he and Michael Chambers and that great Chaka Khan video, "I Feel For You." What a great song, a great video, and love MC in it. As well as, of course, Shabba Doo. As a music fan of both the 70s and 80s, what he talks about here brings out so many great memories. Michael Chambers. Seems like a great guy. Thanks for the talent and the memories of a great time in life.
The robot is the best fuckin dance ever i swear to god, man Michael jackson an the jackson 5 didnt even look human when they used to do that shit to dancine machine, u can look it up on here

@ ANTHONYCEPEDA When you say Maris, are you talking about Maris from 92 Ivy St. Bishops? He used to always call Mike out... I used to roll with him, Peps, Marsh, Magoo, Smurf... There was a few of us, but if it's the same Maris, We were there at Hollenbeck park when they were filming, and your dad called out Boogaloo Shrimp, and someone else called out Moco, I mean Coco.. Ha Ha... Just kidding Mike... But yeah, I don't know if Mike was scared or, they didn't allow him to entertain being called out. It could have went both ways.
Christina Carey I own both of these movies on Blu ray I dont have to look up anything MJ was the creator of THE MOON WALK even kids today know this😂😂😂😂
Ayamalach no he is wasn't...Jeffrey Daniels from Shalimar first introduced the moonwalk to television on top of the pops. He showed Michael how to moon walk. Than Michael Jackson was shown a different way to moonwalk by Turbo. If you listen to Bogaloo shrimp he explains how he learned it. The moonwalk aka backslide was done as early as the twenties. If you do real research you would find this out.
