I get a message saying the Hyper V cannot be installed, the processor does not have required virtualization capabilities... Is there a way to get such capabilities? I have a Windows 11 Pro computer

      @@hamilton7181 Hi Hamilton,
That typically means you have to enable virtualization capabilities for your CPU in your BIOS.
Here is a good reference article: support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enable-virtualization-on-windows-c5578302-6e43-4b4b-a449-8ced115f58e1
Scroll down to the “Instructions based on your PC manufacturer” section and pick the hyperlink that matches your PC manufacturer to get the most accurate guide.
Once enabled in the BIOS, you shouldn’t have this issue. If you don’t see it listed in your BIOS, I would search for your CPU on Google to verify that it supports virtualization capabilities. Most do nowadays, but it can’t hurt to verify.

@@GreeneTechnical Thanks for the reply! I checked and I do have Virtualization enabled... so know I'm even more confused as to why I can't enable the Hyper-V feature in my virtual machine lol

@@hamilton7181 Gotcha, are you running Hyper-V inside of an existing Virtual Machine on another hypervisor? If so you’ll need to enable nested virtualization on your hypervisor and you should be set.

Trying to run it in an existing Virtual Machine, I'm using Oracle VirtualBox, from there I'm using a Windows Server 2025 V.M. I set up. When I look at System Settings, and from there Acceleration, it says "Nested Paging, Hyper-V Paravirtualization". I'm only an IT student so I'm not sure if that statement is a good or bad thing

@ Hmm check the “Processor” section in your VirtualBox System settings and make sure the “Enable VT-x/AMD-V” checkbox is checked and see if that does the trick
