Adjustable anti-skate would be a factor for me. There are different ways it’s achieved, some, better than others. Without the correct anti-skate the stylus won’t track the center of the groove correctly. Then you will get more sound out of one channel to one speaker as the stylus will most likely lean into one side or the other of the groove. Personally I’ve gone new on my turntables, but I tend to stick in the low to mid range on price. I currently run a Fluance RT-81. A simple table that lends itself to upgrading. Upgrading your table though different styli and platters is another way to get better sound on the cheap. Great video. Great info.
