- Had a day off in Liverpool, so teamed up with Thom Morecroft to play a Beatles tune in a corner of the Bluecoat Museum. I've been on tour so long my hair's gone all crazy.. so sorry about that! If Thom's looking nervous towards the end of the song, it's because the security guys were hovering.. ;)

this is by far my favorite cover of this song. the harmony you two display is all but a lost art in this day in age. i would love a studio version of this, with exactly 0 changes.

Just discovered this over a year late. Your version was true to the melancholy essence of the original, but you gave it a unique flavor. Best cover version I've ever heard of this classic song. I was even amused you included the part at the end when squares started giving you a hard time, which reminded me of scenes in Hard Day's Night. Super job both!

Dear Roxanne de Bastion, when you say you agree, are you agreeing only with my comment that no one has ever composed more magnificently than they .. or are you also agreeing that it would be good to do more covers of their music? It would be wonderful if you did .. there are so many covers on TH-cam of substandard songs .. it makes so much more sense to cover the best .. the very best .. namely the Beatles who were masters of melody .. melody is the most important part of music (Mozart believed this).

Dear Roxanne de Bastion, no I had not come across your cover of "Things We Said Today" .. I thank you for the link. There is something I'd like to say to you .. I just heard your cover of John Lennon's "Real Love" (Big Comfy Sessions) .. you at times sing in the most beautiful, touching, tender way .. a sensitive, delicate, heart-felt way .. such as at 3.06 when you sing the words "no need to be alone". At this moment a most beautiful part of your heart opens .. it is so moving.
