Ha ha . Hi Tom and nice to hear from you. I got hold of this receiver 40 years ago...my first proper radio and have cherished it since. Full rebuild and careful reversible modifications. Have always enjoyed working on vintage tube tech...now have over 50 radios and transmitters...I'm a Ham so use the vintage gear as was intended. I see plenty of interest in vintage tech in the US too. I also have a couple of 1940 s vehicles too. Stay safe and keep bashing out the videos.
Similar minds think alike Tom! Not at all surprised to hear you hold an Extra licence. I'm a full licence holder in the UK...M0IDF. I've made quite a few short video vignettes of vintage radios to share with radio chums....I'll try and upload a few more you may find of interest....Best 73...and don't forget the licence!
Just had a peek at the QRZ page Tom....haha...liked the husky. I served in the RAF as a trainee pilot whilst at University. I believe Jung might call that synchronicity....

@@vacuumfireradio253 just went online within the past hour to renew it... there was no fee for the renewal.
I have around S8 a S9 of local QRM ...hence very noisy recording...
