There are worse ways to spend an hour or so. Nicely done!

Appreciate you watching. Didn't take much more than about 30 min. for the sawing. You are probably right though with all of the back and forth to get the other saw and change out the bars.

I figured you would have halved it on the Lucas slabber. Must be less trouble to just cut it rather than set it up under the Lucas. Glad to see you making videos again.

The Lucas only has about 16 inch depth of cut. I would need about 25 inch depth of cut to be able to split this log with the bark and any knots.

It's like trying to cut a 9 foot piece of paper straight with no lines on it.

Hey cowboy, glad to see you posting!
Nice to see a big log cut , nice ripping job, not all guys can run the big saws like that & come out that precise.
    I love my Ms 660. Just invested in a Ms 661 & the 500I.
How did it go, the sound similar?
Keep up the amazing work, mill safe looking forward to seeing your 1x12s
Your v grove material is top notch FYI 🧡🧡💪

Is it worth sawing up for all the work

I figure if that tree can put in that much effort to grow then it is my responsibility to open it up and let it show us what it has inside. Actually don't find it all that much work and I enjoy it.
