- Yes, every turret versus the core in mindustry. With damage checker and a stopwatch, for extra content. Also some text from me as well, definitely not a way to make my video this long.
Also I forgot to add parallax, so I wanna apologize for that. Too lazy to add it
It's been a while eh?
#mindustry
Thanks for watching. It's been a month since I have uploaded, but expect some uploads in these days that I might do, I hope. Idk
Him using all of the worst ammunitions, that was painful
not for scorch
@@ee-kk9wr what do you mean? He used coal, and not piratite
Arc:
And he didn't use coolant or an overdrive projector and dome to speed up the damage
It was for a fair comparison
Note: Ripples cannot shoot about anything 3 blocks close to it
It's very funny, i put surge walls close to ripple bateries on the campaing and they just waste ammo while i build something to counter them
Anyone feeding a spectre graf is just evil.
:/
Ikr for Spectres thorium is literally cheaper (more accessible) than graphite, yet like a million times stronger :p
He's evil.
Graphite is more for when thorium is unavailable
@@ZymerBoy you need to redo this video
Use the best ammo better placement for some turrets
@@ZymerBoy evil!
feeding a spectre grap is just evil
Wave is powerfull when combined with oil and slug
Why you use the weakest amo for every turret? Like cyclone use surge alloy get highest damged and fuse should use thorium
The core is Gonna get destroyed
Cuz using cheap, easily produced, and thus commonly used ammunition for the test makes the most sense. Not a person in the world uses Duos with pyratite/blast, there are way better turrets for that. And then there's surge alloy, the most extremely expensive material of Mindustry, you'll be happy if you ever get enough produced, kinda.
Thorium... It's not much more expensive than titanium but still, titanium is more accessible. Completely understandable why he did this the way he did. This is what gives accurate, actually useful data for players on attack/campaign maps.
@@hunormagyar1843 I think that if you have a spectre you should have enough resources to put thorium ammunition
@@lautarobertoluzzi1477 Yeah then I saw that he not only used worse ammo for the Fuse, but also the Spectre...
I completely agree, thorium lategame is literally cheaper than graphite, yet way better than it as ammo too. Graphite is just, "sh*t I need any garbage to throw at the enemy attackers immediately", there's no single turret in which graphite shines. It's really only used cuz laser/airblast drills are what's expensive, but once you have a single watercooled thorium-mining airblast on the map, you can abuse thorium to all hell, it just shoots outta the drill in huge quantities, practically can run everything on thorium that accepts it.
@@hunormagyar1843 i mean, you're so incredibly wrong with what you said it's kind of funny, consider using water and cryo to boost your turrets, and PLEASE, NEVER, load your spectres with graphite, that's a huge waste of surge, dps, space and you lose crowd control bcs no pierce. Also, why would you build a salvo and load it with copper? Thorium salvos have one of the best dps/block-used in the game while being cheap, and you are also not considering the combos by using only cheap ammo, blast on ripples has a much better damage than graphite, considering it's just the coal you'd already use with graphite but with a bit of lead and sand (considering maps where sand is more easily available) and blast has a 4x ammo multiplier on ripples, meaning two shots per blast. And the blasted debuff combos with cryo tsunami to slow down and crack land tier 4's and 5's open. Also, blast compound does much more damage than metaglass on Ciclone, and AGAIN has a better ammo multiplier of 5x, without the 0,8 firing speed, and you you are wasting sand and lead on metaglass to be shot out of a ciclone, might as well combine those with the always available coal to deal that extra dps on a less messy frontline. You just gotta learn how to transport that blast safely, no big deal
I bet you don't use surge and plastanium walls bcs you think they are expensive lol
Cyclones are good, very useful as a mid-game defence. Best for transitioning from scatters (and any other ground turret) to cyclone then getting surge for the usual F shadow spam with spectres
Cyclones fed with surge and with a wet target have the highest DPS of any turret in the game
Stonks
@@notBeWitchy yep, although it's not exactly very cost efficient and overall it's better to just get spectres at that point since cyclones have less range and surge is expensive while thorium isn't
I've used nothing but cyclone and meltdown/spectre. Spectre is my favorite for gaurdians and the surge cyclones (usually cry-cooled with a overdrive projector not dome) melt hordes.
@@trulers8713 yeah that works
Lol, at 1:06, he was pointing out the illuminati, but he forgot about it hehe
Sublimate with it's no CD and 1k dmg a sec to the meltdown : look what they need to mimic a fraction of my power
Sublimate is scary dude
Hol up, who uses graphite for spectre? If you can afford 250 surge alloy, you can afford thorium ammo lol
I have thorium for my spsctre its cheap and the laser drills really help as airblast substitutes
@@exa0710you know 1 airblast can fill up spectre with adding water and boosted by overdrive
maybe 2
@gigachad1925 yes, but I was going for a budget here
Thorium for the salvo and its decend :) :P
To be honest the only turret you will use against structures is the ripple (maybe hail early), most of the turrets value comes from their aoe damage
About 10:01, targeting cores was never the purpose of the Foreshadow. Its stupidity high damage combined with a comically long range means it’s more suited towards sniping tier 5 enemies. However, this is a rather specialised role (Further worsoned by the long reload) which is why this isn’t the primary turret used in defences.
Alright, a few things about the video
Can we all please calm down about me using the worst ammunition in some turrets? I haven't really thought out about that part, so I apologize for that. It was originally to use the weakest ammo, but then that apparently changed midway in the video.
Also at 9:15, the Spectre turret has become the Reign unit, another mistake that I made. Thanks to Rigel Starz for the mention.
So yeah. Sorry for making these mistakes. I worked on the video on a bad time, so I expected for some errors to appear. Thanks for reading
Parallax, where?
It's ok... Things happen...
It's ait, Z. Just chill
Lol Parallax
pin this comment pls
the combination of blast cyclone and cryo tsunami is extreme
scorch in v5💀
swarmer turret packs a punch for it's size
but it's relatively expensive to build (requires plastic), and only takes expensive compounds as ammo
Most of the late game turrets have reduction to building damage, and the reign turret (spectre) is probably the best turret overall, as the ammunition is accessible and it is overall a high dps turret.
Does anybody think wave looks like a little robot head?
10:37
Thats what i call teamwork
And also anti clickbait! Thumbnail was present in the vid, very nice :)
I saw that little "Amogus" text when segment came lol
Unfair, you gave swarmers quite the advantage by letting it use better ammo while you used the worse ammo for the rest of the turrets, make it the best ammo and liquid for every turrent then it's a fair match
swarmers only accept good ammo
@@AxoCatWasTaken but all other turrets also accept that same, if not, equivalently good ammo, why not balance the filed by giving everyone that access?
Try using their best ammunitions
Subscribes goin up brrrrrrrrrrrr
Last time i checked you just passed 1000
you should also do a part 2 but for the erekir turrets!
scorch is still worthy!
5:45 i saw amogus on the top left corner
Can u do "what to do if u see an eclipse"
10:02 foreshadow has 30% building damage lmfao
you're supposed to spam the lancers
Cool, new vid
How unfair, you use water on foreshadow but not on other turret ತ_ತ
Wave and tsunami is op if the liquid you use is oil and slag it will burn the core down the downside of it is the sparks of fire can damage your own self, buildings and units.Ripples are good but they have a blind spot where if the enemy is beside it or near it doesn't have the chance to kill the enemy
Thats cool,
But who asked
3:15 - Agreed. Everyone (ab)uses Lancers as if they were normal turrets. Which they aren't. One or two Lancers right behind a wall hole where the enemy comes in, right in the path of said enemy, is the sole best way to use em for defence. One or two, placed behind, NOT NEXT TO each other, especially if liquid cooled, can be a cheap but damn effective defense against columns of ground units. Used like a normal turret - aka sideways spamming along the defense wall - is however extremely wasteful and makes it useless against moving targets simply because of the chargeup time. The Lancer _needs to be came at._ If you have more than 2 or 3 in a map, you're probably doing something wrong.
You a dum dum, let me explain:
Yes, good positioning makes them great anti swarmers, but their unaccuracy doesn't come into play against ground tier 4's and 5's because they walk slowly and have big hitboxes, so you can use ripples to anti swarm and lancers to anti heavy AS WELL as anti swarm on good positions, and they are very good anti land t4,t5's just look on youtube comparisons between cryo'ed lancers and croy'ed meltdown
Seriously, a had a defence with spectres, lancers and ripples, and the spectres where suposed to the anti heavy, but the lancers (on unoptimal spots) just stole the spotlight and vaporized the reings
Also, i don't think they cost too much energy to fire, so if you got a good silicon production and are having problems with land heavies, you should just spam away imo
Also, you must cryo-overdrive all your turrets cus 2~3 is crazy few
wow, using the lancer literally like you would a polearm
hide behind a shield while holding it out and let enemies walk into it
definitely not a coincidence
@@dadmitri4259 Yep
If there are a vault with the core, then Foreshadow can one shot the vault, cause it to explode (thank to all the thourium and plastasium it hold), and one shot the core.
Basically why Foreshadow is banned on most multiplayer attack map.
swarmer + surge = carnage
If the turrets were easily hackable meaning the enemy can use it against you
Swarmer is an underdog
the ammo choices are CRIMINAL
E
cyclone cooled with cryo using surge witha wave/tsunami of water next to it has one of the highest dps in the game...

thorium with fuse + cyro fluid is gud tho

Yeah, I pretty much messed up the ammo usage here in this video. Might plan making another video, but every turret will get the maximum damage that they could, so it will be fair
I think it's not really right, because some turrets heve debaf and they deal more demeg to units

@@ZymerBoy it's fine, Z, if you want to know then here's a list:
Salvo:

Average players use copper and maybe thorium sometimes.
Better players use thorium always.
Spectre:
Newer players will likely use thorium but on the off chance they don't understand that thorium does more damage then they'll use graphite.
Average and better players will always use thorium.
Fuse:
Newer players will usually use titanium despite generally not being a good idea.
Average players will use thorium but sometimes they'll go with titanium if they haven't read how much better thorium is.
Cyclone:
Everyone uses metaglass unless they want to make surge+water.
Scatter:
Newer players will use scrap or lead, not knowing about or too lazy to make metaglass.
Average and better players will use metaglass.
Ripple:
Newer players will use graphite, maybe using silicon until they realize it's horrible.
Average players use graphite and occasionally plastanium but usually no.
Better players use plastanium.
