This tutorial is something I've been searching for. Am making my own purse and needed to know how to put an expanding pocket on the outside of it. Didn't think I would be putting any card holders in the expanded pocket cause I didn't know if I could find out how to do that. So glad I found your video here. Am gonna try to adapt it to the pattern I'm gonna use when I finally make my own purse. Making my own because I can't find a pre - made purse like I need, want, or like. Now, after seeing your video, I believe i can make such a purse for myself. TYSM for sharing this video with us. 😉👍😉

Thank you so much. I’ve been looking for how to sew on a 3d pocket/pouch to a bag and this showed it perfectly. I couldn’t wrap my head around the order of operations when looking at a completed item.

This faux leather is drapy so it was on a thinner side.

What did you put in the back of the vinyl where the pocket is attached, looks something to stabilize it?

Yes, it is a stay tape.
