  • Recent data shows that China has been steadily reducing its U.S. Treasury holdings. In June 2023, China sold $9.3 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds, reflecting its strategy to diversify reserves and minimize risks associated with U.S. assets. In the first quarter of 2024, China sold a record $53.3 billion worth of U.S. Treasuries. This significant sell-off underscores China's effort to reduce exposure to U.S. financial assets amidst trade tensions and geopolitical concerns, aiming to hedge against economic and political risks in U.S.-China relations. In this video, we analyze China's reduction of U.S. Treasury holdings, exploring its historical context, underlying motivations, future outlook, and the potential impact on the U.S. economy and the value of the U.S. dollar.

@@amr8457 lol, like how many decades. in 2008, US beg China to buy US debt, if China had not done so, US would have collapsed during that period and was one of the country that held a lot of US debt. It was when US started their Trade wars and weaponizing US financial systems which led to China and alot of other countries divesting US debt. Now UK, Japan and mostly other Western countries helds huge US debt. Most other countries are divesting and holding more gold etc.

China sold its USA bonds and bought gold and USA land. When the USA prints money to steal the value from the dollar and treasuries no body owns them but USA citizens. And now the assets China owns gold and land are growing in dollars . Also chinas money is gaining value because it’s more in demand .
