Trains at Southampton Airport Parkway, SWML - 19th May 2021

- On Wednesday May 19th I head to Southampton Airport Parkway on SWML. The station is quite decent, and small with only 2 platforms. Not busy train traffic compare to previous station I been, but there is still quite a lot of train movement. Some TOC has increased their train services on Monday to cope with demand, due to more Lockdown restrictions has been lifted So there are more trains, which now 11 trains stop at this station per hour. Also you have Southampton Airport, which is situated right next to the station, so you would hear some planes taking off in the background but not as many.
In the centre off the station you have the waiting room and ticket office.
This station has some decent view vantage point on both ether side of Platform 2. Mostly the services you see featured in this are mostly South Western Railway, 444, 450, 158, some Cross Country Trains 220, 221, and some freight Class 66 & 70.
Overall quite enjoyed my few hours at this station.
Will definitely come back here again.

It is a decent station, even with the Airport next door land hearing and seeing Planes take off. Nice content of trains as well.

It good at Parkway but I prefer Eastleigh as you get trains passing at speed!!!! Great video
And St Denys as well, that is cracking station to be at.. Plenty of passing through trains as well.
Great video, I am a bit puzzled on google earth the track through the airport station is straight and there are no turn offs yet the video shows the station is on a slight curve and some trains go off to the left after leaving the station or am I looking at something else.👍👍🇦🇺
Greetings Australia from the UK. Apologies for the late reply, I just seen your comment. Google maps aren’t 100 accurate, Southampton Airport does have a curve line on both directions to Eastleigh & Southampton! Glad you like my video, best wishes to you. 😊

Not sure yet, my days can be varies. It all just depends on how the weather plays. If it’s raining all day and windy I don’t bother coming out.
