I always tent camped when I was younger. Then we bought a small 1960's in my teenage years. It fit the family of 5/6 and was tiny. My dad and I used to take it to our hunting spot in the winter and use propane heaters. But it was small and perfect. It actually looked like the one in your past video thumbnail. It was awesome. Then our neighbors bought it and hippied it out. Oh the memories!!
I am single, and I live full time in a 5th wheel that is 35 feet long with 2 bedrooms (a bunkhouse which I turned into a spare bedroom and an office for working from home.) I love it. It works perfect for me being single, and I save money compared to having a house. BTW, I don't know which club it was, but if it was something like Thousand Trails, it is a good option if you are a full-time RVer on a budget. It lets you stay in select RV parks for periods of time at a discounted rate. But if you don't want to be limited by park choice or if you have a larger budget, then it's not worth it.
We have a camper trailer, where the two bed ends pull out and the middle part raises to be a small living / cooking area. We are in our late 50’s and 60’s but we have 14 & 16 year old children. The camper works well for us. Here in Australia, you don’t see many caravans the size of what you have … that size are usually motorhomes or fifth wheelers and they cost lots of $$$$$$.
The next city over is what we call rv city (Elkhart, Indiana). My parents have always worked in rv factories my whole life. I've even built hire harness. My sister, mom, step dad, all still work at Thor Motor Coach. Great job opportunities for sure!!!
Ive always wanted to live in a tiny house. Occasionally there are tiny house shows similar to the RV show and I would love to go to one. Some day I will.
We have 38' fifth wheel and I love it. I have had a tent, then pop up, then trailer then I found a used fifth wheel and fell in love with it. I couldn't be talked into a new one because I loved all the features of the one I chose.
I've grown up camping my entire life. We always had a bunkhouse 5th wheel trailer. It was nice for a small family. They have definitely improved RV layouts over the years. Meeting things more modern. I personally like to go tent camping. Now that I'm living on my own with my girlfriend, we have a basic set up for two.
My family does only crown land camping. The hubby and I have a 22 foot Passport with no bunks. Our boys who are 17 and 18 have preferred to sleep in tents since they were about 9.
We have a 2019 Keystone Passport travel trailer. We camp with a crew of friends who also have campers. Between the 8 of us we have three campers, two pontoon boats, 6 kayaks and a Sea-Doo.
Growing up we always had tons of accessories that went inside the camper such as matching pillow sets for the couches and comforter sets and TVs or anything of nice value that even had a little tiny paint scratch on it or anything they would just throw it away while they would let the workers bring them home so we always had recliners and all types of s*** for free but then people started getting greedy greedy and then they ended all that and then ya got to start paying for items
I grew up camping in a tow-low camper with tents for myself and my siblings however myself and my one older sister slept in the camper with our rents until we got bigger so from about............ I'd say about 10-ish I slept in the tents with any of the older sibs that happened to come with that time LoL I also grew up going to camp shows for as long as I can remember and I have ALWAYS loved it
I've never been camping in an RV, just in tents, or cabins. I grew up in Girl Guides (I'm Canadian), so we went camping minimum twice a year. Fall & spring were tent camping, if we did a winter camp (we didn't every year) that would be in cabins. Although one year when I was a teenager we did spend one night a quinzhee (similar to an igloo, very Canadian thing). If I was ever to go camping again, it would have to be in an RV. I have several chronic illnesses and suffer from chronic pain, so there's no way I can sleep on the ground, in a tent, even on an air mattress.
I used to go to RV shows. I'm up north so it's always indoors and going up and down RVs all day in winter coats is a heat stroke waiting to happen. I don't even camp lol
I live in Utah, and we hunt, as well as do a lot of hiking and camping. I joke about how we're either glamping or living off the land. We either camp in our 5th wheel(when we have the kids) or our backwoods high altitude hunting trips where we're using our Kifaru supertarp. Which is basically just what it sounds like a bottomless tent that has a woodstove small enough to fit in our backpacks. I live in Central Utah and Fishlake National forest is basically my backyard.
We just sold our 28 foot camper. We couldn't find any campsites unless you book a year ahead...we are last minute people and pretty busy so it was hard. We live in middle Tennessee...
I admit workers put things together so fast. Depending on how much they cost the company wants so many produced per week. Like the little a frame they want like 40 a day. But the half million dollar ones they push out like 3 a week.
I have a Great Dane. he is my soulmate in a dog, so I Nev like to go away on vacation because I’d never enjoy it. I did just worry about my dogs the whole time so I would love just a small RV but one where you drive inside the camper. So my dogs would be in there and I’d be in there driving with them near by. We’d go everywhere and that thing.
We have a ten year old travel trailer with bunks. It's 30 ft which is plenty of room for four of us and besides, we are outside most of the time! Anything too big we find are harder to park and find nice campsites in our province. I just can't justify the depreciation value of new units. It's insane.
Caitlyn should have gotten an actual travel van that has fridge, stove and potty. I though she was nuts getting an old van with no access to toilet or water hook up. She's adventurous for sure lol
Have you seen any of Keeping Your Daydream vlogs? They are amazing and have used different types of campers through their travels. I have enjoyed learning from them even though I do not have access to camping.
I wish we could go back to a 5th wheel because they just have more space inside but I don’t think we would ever get away from our class A (unless we go to a super C). We had to upgrade to a motorhome because we were having to drive a second vehicle (jeep) most places we went so we could go jeeping. We bought our class A when it was 10 years old and it’s now 17 years old so we’re looking at what we want next.
Jeeping is awesome though! That would be a hard thing to trade off for. When we lived in Oregon I had a YJ Wrangler and we went all over the backwoods with it.
@@moremaass we love our jeep Cherokee. We had to go fully enclosed because of my sons heat restrictions and his lung disease. We needed AC. We live in SoCal so it gets hot here just much less humidity then you guys have.
Weve always wanted to hire an RV and travel around America for 6 months, no real plan just wake up in the morning and decide where to go and what to see x
It sucks that those days are over. Spots are booked so quickly you have to plan way in advance or you’re going to end up overnighting in a Walmart parking lot.
My brother has a beautiful 5th wheel and has camped his entire life. He has retired in his early 60s and is never home. They live by Zion but they go everywhere. They left in November and will come home in April to check on things then leave again. Not a life for me.
I think you should test a fifth wheel before you buy one because I think Priscilla won’t like the way it drives it scares the crap out of me it makes me feel like it’s going to lift the truck. And yea the truck is big enough
Sounds like too little pin weight. Our bumper pull does that too if the fresh water tanks are empty. Better suspension can help too. If we do ever get a 5th wheel I want to upgrade to a Morryde suspension for the trailer.
Just got back from camping at Agua Caliente (So.Cal. desert) 4 days. Hard core, tents, Air mattresses , sleeping bags, Coleman stove & fire for cooking. At 70 I’ve decided Y’all have a much better way of camping. No more hard core for me. Way to much work.
Lol. We did so much tent camping in our early years married. We love it but when you want to travel and see the country this is definitely the way to go. When we were moving from Virginia to Oregon we tent camped for 11 days straight while driving cross country. I’m surprised our marriage endured lol.
Not a fan of camping at all tried it few times so no thank you I must weather do hotel stay I want to Canada years ago n i dont like it that I love to r]travel not camping my sister n my brother in law go for years I never to go at all but good for you guys more power

This is what I'm looking to do. A 5th wheel is a perfect size for 1 or 2 adults. I'm hoping to find one this year. You are living my dream! ❤
That’s longer than my apartment!
Oh Cilla you have my fave pink jacket on !!

12 years I'll be full-time in a 5th wheel toy hauler. 5th wheel is definitely the way to go

I would love that little A frame pop up!

Those are beautiful
My dad has a 5th wheel and he tows it with a modified big rig truck that carries his canam spider.
I would love to see them being driven on uk roads. you would need police escort for long and wide loads. That’s luxury xxx
My idea of camping is a hotel without a pool.
Man how luxurious are some of those RVs
Crazy, right!?
We want one with a bunk house in the back 4 little kids we would love to do what yall did last summer and just be able to go
You need a 5th wheel toy hauler, garage model for a second bath and bedroom and then you can bring the golf cart!
We just sold our 28 foot camper. We couldn't find any campsites unless you book a year ahead...we are last minute people and pretty busy so it was hard. We live in middle Tennessee...
We went to the Hershey park rv show in October. And I was so overwhelmed their were so many. I couldn’t imagine Abbie going.
That’s awesome! We will be going to Hershey Park this summer.

We have a 42 ft coachman sport push diesel motor coach.
We currently have a fifth wheel however I would love a class A.
Hello beautiful Maass family. ❤ 😘🥰

Awsome. I been to an RV show
I have seen an a-frame trailer with a toilet in it. Could literally make breakfast from the toilet

I have watched a few. Very good stuff!
I’m shocked this channel doesn’t have more subscribers 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I thought he was in his underwear also. 🤣
My parents had an a frame camper
I know iv told you before, but I'll tell you again I adore you guys

I’m thinking not for the Mass family! Keep living your best life in your home in Florida. Not my kinda campin either
Umm, I need further explanation of the man with no pants...
Yeah, me too! Some kind of attention getter and icebreaker I assume. Kind of a bold tactic for a financial planning company lol.
My parents have a 26ft bullet by premier, we are nascar fans and we also do normal camping. I have a little tent.
I think you should test a fifth wheel before you buy one because I think Priscilla won’t like the way it drives it scares the crap out of me it makes me feel like it’s going to lift the truck. And yea the truck is big enough

Toy hauler 5th wheel
I would be a class C kinda lady. I cant drive my husbands full size truck without hitting something, so a 5th wheel is WAY to big!
Is Isaiah going camping with you
He might meet up with us along the trip. He doesn’t have his summer fully planned yet.
