  • This episode is a little different.
After recently losing my sister and a family friend, I’ve been forced to confront my own mortality. At 58, it’s made me stop and question how I live, what truly matters, and the direction of this channel. So, I decided to do what I’ve always done when I need to clear my head-go for a long walk.
I take on a 25km trek through the stunning Royal National Park in Sydney, Australia’s oldest national park, from Loftus to Bundeena. Along the way, I reflect on the difference between inconvenience and hard-how we often confuse the two, and how embracing inconvenience can actually create new opportunities.
No distractions, no shortcuts-just time in nature to process, reflect, and figure things out. And, of course, I’ll finish it off the best way I know how-with a well-earned beer.
Sometimes, the best way forward starts with just putting one foot in front of the other.

I’ve always wanted to do a solo camp. I’ve never done it and I think it would be a little un nerving camping in the bush alone but I think it would be a great learning experience for myself. I’ll challenge myself to complete this within the next 3 months.

Thought provoking mate. You and I have both lost numerous people in our lives in recent years.Time to take stock and consider whats important.
My mates and I used to do the same thing to go fishing. We used to catch the old red rattler from Thornleigh to Meadowbank with our rods and bucket and collect the most god awful smeĺling blackfish weed ,get back on the red rattler and get off at Berowra after stinking out the train, walk down to Winson Bay on the Hawkesbury through the scrub, fish and walk the 8clicks back to Apple Tree Bay , fish all the way back and maybe camp overnight along the way and get picked up by my mates dads. That was a regular trip before we all had a licence.
