I have been looking for a leo beginner guide for the longest time and you also included button inputs tyvm! As a zero fighting gamer who just join the tekken fray i appreciate this
@@Madara-en9oity very much for the input display I watched some guides and instead of writing it all out they showed each move in slowmo and said what It was I just had to write the sequence down myself
@Madara-en9oi Yeah definitely! Sometimes you gotta improvise too. I'm really good with Leo already but I just like seeing what other people come up with and learning from them :)
Thanks for taking the time out to give us these Leo videos. I've played Tekken casually since Tekken 1. Tekken 7 was a bit more frustrating for myself personally. I told myself I want to get "decent" at a Tekken game for once....In my 40s. I'm making my way. I feel like Tekken is a college course. I have notes in my notebook and all thank to you and AyoRichie. Your videos are a bit more detailed and give me a good foundation to how I think I want to progress with this character on my own terms. Plus your background music to your combo video is soothing hahaha. Thanks again.
Thank you for this nice response really grateful for that :) Yeah im playing Tekken since im a little kid but got into it more with Tekken 7. Having arround 6 years of experience playing in Online and offline tournaments and meeting a lot of new friends. Over all these years i learned a lot and with videos like this i want people to also learn and have a great time in this game ^^
Thank you man. So in my opinion the second and third Combo is optimal and the one i usually use because with the first combo there are Moments where the jab can whiff if its off axis so not always working. When it comes to damage the third one is really good.
This helped a lot! I'm still a beginner so going to lab those hard today. Fantastic content here and it's appreciated more than you know! @@Madara-en9oi
a bit late just wanna say thx for the guide, im totally new to tekken and I feel like the easy CPU would be better than me lmao, I was just looking for a guide and these 2 detailing easy strings/BnBs and the other guide of yours detailing tools for For example Neutral Tools I appreciate lots
Back again! At the 2nd combo @ 0:11, are you supposed to crouch cancel at the end of the second set? I'm talking about the combo that looks like forward, 2 , 4, then diagonal then into WS 3. Anytime I try this, or try the CC on the third combo, I end up just getting an attack that is sorta like a down swipe (it hits low). I'm doing something incorrectly. Is it true you're supposed to only just press diagonal? English is not my first language so hopefully this makes sense.
if you mean that upwards punch basically you have to let go of all your directional inputs and then press up1 together. if you press it too early you will get that low swipe.
I'm relatively new to fighting games and I picked up leo (fun so far!). What combo do you suggest I should try learning first and should stick with for a bit while I learn the game and can pick up the rest?
4:06 currently stuck on this one. I’m not sure how to get that single punch after that second command. Leo Keeps doing that spiny punch when Eve I try to apply the command
vielen dank dir freut mich sehr. wenn du mal fragen bezüglich tekken oder auch leo hast dann frag ruhig hier oder im stream. helfe auch sehr gerne ^^@@Nimblo-py4zd
Comprehensive guide, but why doesn't any "beginner" guide ever explain why you would even want to know more than one combo? B1, 1+2 BOK 1,2 b1+2, 1+2, qcf2 works from like every launcher. Ws1,4,1 adds more damage at the wall. What's the point of all these other routes?
Yeah true i didnt explain it, only showing it. The Thing is b1+2 1+2 qcf2 doesnt wallsplat from far so its only for max damage in the open while other options carry to the wall etc. Same thing wall combos. There are some that do more damage but gives you worse options afterwards because of the recovery and other options that are better for it
@@Madara-en9oi appreciate it! Might be a cool new video to talk about those aspects, kind of like how jst did with Lars: th-cam.com/video/m9a1AGnNXY4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3ahLlS_OK269HI-9
Yeah that one is probably the hardest combo leo has. The timing is very strict and the input has to come out at the end just before the opponent hits the floor. You dont have much time so its very strict
What does CH, WS, CD etc. Mean? Tekken 8 is the first fighting game I really wanna learn so I'm a giga noob lol. Wanna main and learn Leo cuz of his cool looking movement x)
Yeah for sure i can help out on this one. CH is Counter Hit WS means While Standing that is when you hold your crouch button then let go of it and press one of the face buttons. when it says CD it normally means Crouch Dash which is a quarter circle forward motion which is kinda like a stance but in the case of leo you can just hold down forward on some moves to automatically transition into itl when it comes to bok and knk these are just short cuts for bokuhou and kin kei which are the 2 stances used by leo. If you have any other questions please let me know. When it comes to Leo im also trying to make a Guide so stay tuned ^^
the combo with iws is very hard and strict and i would not recommended it for the beginning. i just wanted to include it so that people know about it but the timing is very strict and has to be inputted very late before the opponent hits the ground
Leo is a mix of all of it. Good at counter hit tools, good mixups and decent poking and keepout. To be succsfull with leo you need the perfect balance of all of this in my opinion. I might do a Video about this.
Yeah its basically pressing down forward and then up like a sidestep and then continue with the next move. Timing id key here. You have to find the timing at which you can press up to cancel the downforward Crouch dash. Comes with practice.
@@KyleEscario No worries. Also in the Combos i listed if you input down forward on your pad you will automatically transition into a crouch dash Motion after certain moves like f4
it means crouch cancel. so in the case of that combo you have to press down forward after b1,4 and then press up like a sidestep to cancel that and then you can do b1,1+2 afterwards
Yo if possible can you break this video into subsections like normal hit combos, CH, heat combos, etc. it’s better for beginners like me to digest these amount of combos if so.
you have to press up to do that. so in the case of b1,4 you have to first press df to get the crouch dash and then up like a sidestep to cancel the dash
Bok is one of Leo's stances. its where leo goes down quiet a lot and it has followup moves from it. manually you get it by pressing d1+2 or for example if you do b1, 1+2 yoz can hold down to transition into BOK.
Does anyone else watch these and constantly go back and forth between their phone and the game?
Yes me too

I agree 100%. I also only picked up Leo in Season 4 of Tekken 7 and have barely any tournament experience. its fun to learn it now with a fresh game.
Great combos. Some of these long combos works only for some stages. If the stage isn’t big enough it’s impossible to finish them.
yh thats true. always have to adapt and shorten the combo depending on where you are on the stage.@@onlythestrong8659

Great video! For tornadoes, whenever you go for F4, crouch dash, U1, it's possible to get 1 more damage out of the easier input F4, (knk)1+2

You have to press down forward to go into the crouch dash Motion quickly then tap up for a sidestep and then you can do b1 1+2

cc means Crouch cancel so basically press up for that. And cd means Crouch dash which is a quarter circle Input forward on your d pas / stick
