My tip to add to Madara's guide: Make sure while doing these KNK cancels that you NEED to allow the Crouch Dash to happen before you can cancel it with Up. If you can actually see the Crouch Dash start to happen that's even better. But don't cancel it too late or you'll drop the combo. It's difficult sometimes to distinguish the ending of B+1, 4 and the start of the Crouch Dash because they look very similar.
2:13 i love this combo if wall is really far, but combo ender b1+2 1+2 blue spark 2. It have really far pushback. Witch open longrunning option. Like longrun 4 then again mix 3or 4(its beat enemy ground tech) or longrun 1+2. Its pretty confident oki. Without risk.

I dont like to cancel with the down forward, im so used to leo from previous games that when i try to cancel the old way it doesnt come out, so im still struggling a little to make my brain get used to it
yeah it also takes longer to go into crouch than in t7. i remember back then you can just tap the button to go to crouch dash but that doesnt work anymore. no clue why they did it.

hey vielen vielen dank ^^ richtig wenn du df machst nach knk ist es automatisch qcf. so enden auch viele combos mit leo. mit f4 (knk) und dann df2,1 für crouch dash 2,1 wenn du ws4 machen willst dann musst du auch df drücken und direkt in neutral gehen also df danach loslassen und dann ws4 drücken. hoffe das beantwortet bisschen deine frage ^^

Great video. My tip as someone who already got this down like relatively consistent a while ago is to treat the cancel part as if it's one fast input ie. KNK df and then u~n~f4 should be timed as if it's one quick movement.
do i need to learn this fully to be concider a true leo main been using em since Tt2 but never cared to do knk cancels i been sufficient with knk crouch dash WS3 as my wall carry and go from there im up to Tekken king rn in T8
it was more important in tekken 7 but less in tekken 8 for sure. i would considr uf2,1 into ws3 pickup as really important as a leo player but f4 loops isnt that important. but always fun to learn
What are your thoughts on constant stance switching? Like knk 1 down into bok 4 knk 4 cd 2 b knk and etc constantly switching back and forth into them? Was wondering if it was something ideal to do in a match. I’ve done it a few times against people and it seemed like good pressure and mixes but I’m not a Fujin rank or higher so idk how good of a use it can be as I climb the ranks
hmm to be honest ist mostly fake and not worth the risk. a lot of characters can just launch you for doing it. every now and then you could try it out but you have to be careful for sure
I like the knk cancel but most of the time i think its only worth using for pressure because it can be tricky sometimes in combos and even in the most ideal scenarios youre only getting like 3 extra damage on a combo. Which ik isnt nothing but there are far easier combos that do as much if not more damage than the knk ones, still a good tool too have as sometimes its the perfect tool in a combo or really good at catching people who duck knk stance and reset the situation
yeah said the same thing in my video. but still quiet a few people asked me to do this guide and teach how i do knk cancels so i just wanted to make this now. i agree mostly with you.

Tornado at the wall (with heat) I'm trying to learn if both route required KNK and how much difference would it be if I used it going forward. Thx in advance! Have a channel fatalis wall to wall combo i think you search this. If you can cancel b 14cc b14 cc f4 cc (up f 12 or cd 324. If cant 4 b14 cd 3 f4 cd 324). Cd - crouch dash cc- crouch cancel.
Holy i just watch around 5min and the combo with KNK really can go to wall to wall + tornado at the end. Gg, thx you kind samaritan. Welp, time to practice level by level as explain by Madara!

Also feel better hearing you say it feels like a just frame for f4 loops. I’ll try to get them down but I won’t focus on it too hard. I’ve got the other bnbs down for the most part. Leo’s combos are really fun

yeah both are really great options to end the combo. b1+2 is optimal when there is no wall for sure ^^

@@jenova2916 f2,4 geht in qcf rein wenn du nach f2,4 df gedrückt hälst. ansonsten fällt mir jetzt kein move ein.
