I'm waiting for Cage to ask, "What's the meaning of life?" and Christoph responding, "This" (as he leans in and kisses Cage on the cheek). That's how weird these conversations are getting. Onto part 3!!!
amazing how uncomfortable Cage made all the other actors at the table. But... that's the game, authenticity and there is only one Nicholas Cage and he knows that.
People always feel uncomfortable in the presence of a true entity. It makes them question their own authenticity and challenges the validity of their own beliefs and assertions. In not so many words: People are insecure and take a lot of their beliefs for granted!
Acutally Stanley Tucci has been around a LOT longer than 5 years and is considered one of the best actors in Hollywood-just because you haven't heard of him don't directors haven't. Frankly I respect all of those men at that table because they are good at what they do. And I don't act........DO YOU rampage?
Christoph Waltz and Morgan Freeman are sitting next to each other, and yet the camera focuses on Nicolas Cage and a bald man who likes too say 'behoove!'
I've been fortunate enough in the few projects where I've been big enough to be directed to have directors who have been good collaborators. I love being directed, mostly because I don't presume that I have imagined every possible interpretation of the script. I want to hear other possibilities, but I also want suggestions to make sense within the character, so a director must be able to articulate what he wants to see/hear. ~Trav
@jokerplainview A big part of Nicolas Cage thing is the fact that he is a very articulate person. He really can deliver those lines. So in every movie he's given a lot of lines to put his voice into. The unspoken word doesn't seem to be his forte yet different actors (artists) have different strengths and weakenesses. Somehow his way provides him with a way of connecting with a big chunk of the world audience.
@machiaveliyoohoo But I prefer his smaller. I totally agree where you're coming from. Everyone here has only repeated what they hard on blogs or youtube. Most only remember The Whicker Man because most only see crappy mainstream films. They're all great actors. I just think Cage is underrated.
@Aljinon Actually, I think the opposite. He was doing shit for german TV stations prior to Inglourious Basterds, he was dissapointed and sad he doesnt have the carrier he wishes. Then Tarantino comes in and makes him international star with bunch of big offers. Being at this table is his dream come true.
nah nah... I just finished four years at film school... and the only people that you will learn from are the ones that are willing to talk and constantly dissect. All these guys sitting at the table are genius's unto their own art. But as an actor and director, you tend to learn a lot more from people as expressive as Nicholas Cage at that table their... as opposed (respectively) to Colin Firth or Peter Sarsgaard.
Werner Herzog n Cage, ya gotta check out Peter Travers review o Port o Call... Fu%$ man, been laughing 5 minutes straight. That movie is just so fu%$in over the top crazy assed anything goes sh%$... its comedic!
Did Nick Cage just shit on Werner Herzog? Maybe Herzog is a pain to work with, I have no idea, but Klaus Kinski was known to be a total narcissistic asshole by way more people than Werner Herzog.
Sorry, Cage might be a good actor but somehow I just don´t like him. Seems like he takes himselfe too serious in a way. Only my personal opinion. And I REALLY don´t like Klaus Kinski, he was an aggressive, narcissistic, arrogant guy who could only play evil, creepy characters, like he was himselfe. And I don´t wanna talk about what his daughter accused him of...
Nick is an entertaining screen presence with a good or interesting script, but he is NOT a good actor. There are few performers with his status from his generation who are as hamfisted, nuance-free and the same in every part. Ech.
+DarkeningSkies1 He's done some awful performances sure but I don't see how you could watch him in something like Adaptation and call him 'nuance-free'
Nic Cage is a cool guy and good actor but he talks too much. Now thats all I will see when watching his movies is him bickering with director instead of watching a performance. Give me a dinner with Christoph Waltz and Stanley Tucci who understand that the unspoken word is more powerful and what is said means something.
Cage is right about Herzog and Kinski! Herzog would be nothing without Kinski and the fact that especially american cinema-fans think that Herzog is a great director shows their stupidity! In Europe Herzog is considered to be a wannabe who would do anything to produce his movie - Cutting whole parts of the rainforest...

He's truly thoughtful and philosophical and a bold creative exceptional talent. Frankly he leaves other actors in the dust.
They're probably uncomfortable because it comes across as though he's trying too hard
@@stephies4734 No it doesn't. Don't project.
He has always been the odd one out. He said it himself
"We need a writer" lol
Like Nick Cage has any right to call anyone arrogant.
Let's all agree that we came here for Christoph Waltz and what we got was that Nic Cage snorts baby powder and wears eyeliner.
Yes I was serious. They are all really talented actors.

IT'S COKE!
omg, Stanley Tucci looks exactly like Mark Strong :O

I've just noticed but Mr Cage has beautiful blue eyes :3
Christoph Waltz needs to talk more. Less Cage more Waltz.
Christoph's face is like...k

5 shots later...0:46
I swear If I was in that room and got a chance to meet them all I could just die lol. They are all really talented.
I love what morgans wearing. So casual.

"this is useless...we need a writer" Lol.
its coke!

Cage is an OG💯 one of the most misunderstood. Top 5 method actors ever. Let Cage cook.
Cage is honest
ha nicolas cage is awesome..morgan is a legend...damn..this is a good group
Christoph didn't spoke 1 work but he still looks smartest :D
too true and Nick kind of seems like he would rather be alone talking so he can be right and the center of the world
@tamerswan Sorry I don't understand this expression (but my crush is Waltz xD), I didn't notice he had eyeliner.
Wtf is Nicolas Cage talking about? ...Baby powder?
@Aljinon Totally agree on that one.
@intestinogrueso78 Yes, he was in consideration. And he had won for Leaving Las Vegas.
@tamerswan Thank you.
hahahha ive never heard of any baby powder being snorted before. what the fuck is he talking about.
nic cage may not be able to comunicate is thoughts, but he is a good actor(is older roles ofc..)
@Aljinon
He just doesn't seem to be a big talker. A great actor and a humble person, perhaps.
SAY SOMETHING PETER!
"Geez la weez..." - balthazargirl22
XD!!! Geez Louise....
@tamerswan Of course :3
I'm not serious when I mean that I would just die. It's an expression. No I'm not 15.
"HOW'D IT GET BURNED???"
nuff said
Oh course, another plant...Rose!
baby laxative, not powder
well obviously he was very uncomftable just being there at that table with all the others famous actors...
@jokerplainview And Collin Firth
@tamerswan Do you have an altar or something like that? (the word worship made me think about that :3) Yeaaah, I share your pain.
The word he was looking for is myth
Peter Sarsgaard is the best!
@tamerswan LOL I wonder who are these vixens you're talking about. I'll just worship at the altar of Alexander Skarsgard, thank you.
Werner Herzog n Cage, ya gotta check out Peter Travers review o Port o Call...
Fu%$ man, been laughing 5 minutes straight. That movie is just so fu%$in over the top crazy assed anything goes sh%$...

@tamerswan LOL, I understand.

Nonsense.
Sure Nic, of course it was baby powder.
@sivartis
I am writing a script now! I wish u could be in my movie.
Send me a message you never know :)
How did the movie go

+DarkeningSkies1 He's done some awful performances sure but I don't see how you could watch him in something like Adaptation and call him 'nuance-free'
it's simple. he's an enigma in the world of cinema.
You need God...
@EvrybdyluvsJosh
Eyeliner, foundation, hair color and a toupee'.
